Okay place but nothing special

Very nice staff. Clean. Good size room. Nice breakfast. Overpriced for what you get. Premium price for average to slightly above average everything. Very firm mattress. Unable to control temperature of the room. Not a very good location for accessing Leuven centre. It was just kind of plain. If I compare to places that are half the price the things are marginally better but not worth the price increase.

Long weekend stay

Great location. Friendly staff on reception. Good size rooms with a decent view at the rear of the hotel. Cleaning of the room was a little amiss at times. Have stayed twice before and would stay again.

We had a comfortable stay. The room was cosy and suited our needs perfectly. The beds were comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre so not that convenient. The road was noisy as was the Stella factory outside, The small bar was nice but there was no lounge for guests to relax and the rooms are small for relaxing even though I had an executive room. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

Really needs an overall service/staff and breakfast wise. The teams are not motivated and hard to find, the breakfast for the price is simply ridiculous. The hot food is stone cold, the bacon looks boiled and the scrambled eggs have been cooked until any moisture has been removed. The rooms are decent, good shower and the beds are comfortable. Price value isn’t right and never has been at the Novotel in Leuven, they make a lot money from InBev head office and don’t see the need to changer, sad.

The room was a nice size, and the beds were comfortable. When we arrived at 2 pm for check-in, they told us it would be another hour -- the hotel was fully booked, and housekeeping had gotten behind. But they were able to let us in at 2:30 pm, so it really wasn't too bad -- they were very apologetic. It's a short walk to the train station and bus station, and Oude Markt and Grote Markt are about a 20-minute walk. (You can also take one of the city buses for 2 euro -- but I'm not sure how late or frequently they run. There's a restaurant and bar at the hotel, and it is essentially next door to the Stella Artois brewery, if you're interested in doing a tour there. Overall, my husband, son, and I had a comfortable and pleasant stay.
