โFabulous friendly and accommodating staff. Incredible hearty breakfast options. Accommodation incredibly quiet leading to a restful nights sleep. Guest parking on site in the heart of the village. Would definitely return.โ
โA fantastic family run B&B. Our 1st time here, albeit, we may have stayed in the Lakes over two dozen times. Very friendly services. Excellent breakfast. Andy and Micheal are truly making our 3 nights stay better than most hotels we have stayed at in the Lake District. โ
โThe Tennyson Room (Room 5) was beautiful. The view was stunning, there were no irritations (wonky toilet seats, blown light bulbs, badly scratched paintwork etc.) at all. The receptionist was a great guy - good for a laugh and engaging. Breakfast excellent.
Believe me - we are coming back it was superb. I have no connections with this place at all. It was so much better than the top of the range place we stayed at in Anglesey 2 weeks ago and cost ยฃ70 less.
Thank you.โ
โMy stay at the Shakespeare was short but will be remembered as a really good experience. I felt like a truly valued customer, everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The room was good and the bed was huge!! It was 2 lovely nights sleep, nice hot shower in the morning followed by a cooked breakfast. It really set me up for the day.
I would most certainly revisit and can recommend it for a good place to stay in Kendal.โ
โMy sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life.โ
โHad a great night sleep! Room was very spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff were very welcoming both at check in time and at breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay.โ
