"Great location"

"We loved our stay at Hyatt Regency Houston West. It’s a beautiful hotel. I feel bad because I didn’t get the name of the gentleman who checked us in, he was so kind and helpful. Also when we were passing by the cafe, the lady working was about to go on break but she was kind enough to let me in and allowed me to order a cafe mocha, which I really appreciated. Our room was so nice and clean. Bed was so comfortable and I slept so good. The same gentleman who checked us in also checked us out and I asked him about feeding the Kio fish and he handed me the food and I absolutely loved feeding them!!! We didn’t get to enjoy their pool but we are looking forward to that our next stay. I highly recommend staying here at this hotel, it’s not only beautiful but their staff is amazing and customer service is excellent! The hotel is also convenient in location, right off I-10, not far from City Centre and memorial city mall. Thank you."

"I checked in on April 30th Thurday afternoon. It is their policy that after a two night stay you receive listed housekeeping services which include towels. I csm back to the hotel Saturday evening no housekeeping service. I called the lobby and let them know no one tended to the room. I requested towels that night, nothing! I called again Sundsy Morning and the person I talked with brought them up. When I checked out trash cans were full and no amenities were replaced."

"Nice facility"

"Had a lovely 6 night stay at the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria. The hotel was as expected for a Hyatt. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel bar was quite nice and had a lively, although not overly crowded, vibe. Enjoyed a late dinner at the bar one evening and cocktails with colleagues another. The Market for grab and go and quick bites was also great although it could be staffed better especially during the morning rush hours. Great chocolate croissants and lattes for breakfast and I was able to grab a very good personal pizza to take up to my room one day I was at the hotel working. My only complaints: 1- the coffee maker in the room was very dirty and needed to be cleaned. 2- The iron was missing from my room and despite two requests I never did receive one. So I was a bit more wrinkled at meetings than I had hoped. 3- The valet only parking option was overpriced and not terribly convenient. Would have preferred a self parking option. I ended up parking in a neighboring lot."

"Check-in wasn’t great. I had to call to someone from the back after a couple minutes and then wait for her to get off her cell phone. I had a question about the cafe (which is just their bar/restaurant), but she seemed in a hurry as others were waiting too. Then I - along with about 10 guests- waited for five minutes for an elevator to reach the lobby. Guests said this was happening a lot (it was my only time). Finally the shower in my room didn’t drain properly, so I was standing in water. Overall, disappointing and overpriced in my mind"

"The food menus were lacking in variety and appeal. The pozole I ordered consisted of only broth, dried out meat and garbanzo beans- it was tasteless. I was expecting more Texas or southern dishes to be offered. There was no option for decaffeinated coffee anywhere in the hotel, except the in-room coffee. For the price, the hotel turned out to be a disappointment. "
