Hotels is closed
This hotel is closed so please dont book here, we arrived and it was shut down. However, Hotels.com sorted it out for us in the end and got us a different hotel instead. Am also hoping they remove the hotel from their site. Although we had to stay at 2 different hotels due to availability, I am always pleased with hotels.com customer service and happy but dissappinted because its the second time weve had an issue. The last time we booked (different hotel) the hotel was overbooked when we got there but hotels.com also sorted that out for us too so I will definitely book with them again even though these bad experiences (probly not a usual occurance) just because I know how good they are at sorting the problem out, its annoying what happened but knowing they will do anything to fix the problem means i wont hesitate to book with them again but next time I will still book through hotels.com but will phone ahead direct to the hotel to make sure they definately exist and have a room for us. It takes quite a while to sort out problems on the phone with them but they get it done and always nice staff

There was no stay the hotel has been closed for 5 months yet hotels.com are still taking booking and im having major problems getting my money back.

Host was very welcoming. Photos don’t do the rooms justice. They look well sized, but when entering the room you notice there is plenty more space than expected. Receptionist was more than happy to help with ideas where to eat and helping us understand the nearby locations.

On Friday the 30 when we reached to hotel to check in realised Hotel is closed since July, we had no information about it. We have to make search to find other place , luckily there was Premier Inn locally and they had Vacancy. I thought hotel should have informed about there closer. one room had awful smell in the toilet and room, other room had blinds that were allowing much light through making sleep difficult. Breakfast had croissants and pain au chocolat wrapped in plastic as well as a lot of other plastic that in this day really should not be used anymore in order to take care of the environment. Also there was no hotel parking.

Upon checking in to my room, found a note telling me that there would be 'entertainment' in the bar below 'until late' Until 2:40am! The management knew about this 'entertainment' well in advance, why did they not inform me and give me the chance to cancel when I made my booking?

The room was very clean and well presented. There was a note on the bed on arrival day warning that there was an event that night which may be noisy for guests. There wasn't. However, there was one the following night. There was no indication that the hotel was iopen to the public on Saturday nights until late for revelkling when I booked. I don't actually mind, but it is rather intimidating to return to the hotel to find a queue waiting to get in. A better system for actual guests would be more inviting. Similarly, the event made it difficult to get to the bar for a drink and more consideration for paying guests would be better. To compound this there was no hot water the following morning so I couldn't shower. The response from staff was that they were looking in to it but there was no sense of urgency. I paid for an ensuite but it impossible to shower. One other small gripe, sorry, but having made myself a coffe on Saturday morning, I found that the coffee wasn't replaced when I went to do the sam on Sunday morning. Small details like this are poor customer service.

No problems finding hotel, right in centre. Big problem NO CAR PARK, this was not mentioned anywhere when booking. Multi storey, had to drag cases etc through the streets. Rooms clean and comfortable, my room on the 1st floor overlooked the street, this was fine, until 2am in the morning and woken up by drunken party going on. Not happy and tired. Had early 7am start for a well being event, no breakfast available until 8am again not happy. Yes central location, use train or bus and don’t have a schedule to follow.

Hotel nelle vicinanze del centro gli interni sono tutti rinnovati avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata all'esterno. Molto comodo il ristorante sottostante collegato direttamente all hotel.Peccato l'assenza del parcheggio interno anche se molto vicino vi è un parcheggio multipla no molto comodo.

Hotel Above a bar
Hotel is located above a bar, sharing same entrance - not ideal if staying with family. The rooms are noisy due to music from the bar. A message was left from hotel staff when I checked in informing me of entertainment at the bar till late at night. This should have been communicated prior to arrival to allow myself to make alternative plans if deemed not suitable. Also no AC in rooms and with proximity to main road and noise wasn’t suitable to open windows either.

Disappointing stay
Looks very grim from outside but isn’t too bad when you go in. Our room was a good size and away from the noise which was great. The floors downstairs in the bar, reception. And restaurant are so sticky that you have to make an effort to lift your feet off! Pretty horrific! If you ask for the cocktail menu, your fingers stick to it!!! Our other issue was the sofa bed was basically like sleeping on springs. We only discovered this as we were ready to sleep but I’m annoyed the hotel can put something like that out and expect it to be acceptable. Breakfast was nice and the other beds were fine.

The outside of the hotel looks run down and tired but the rooms inside are clean and nice. The shower is good when the water doesn’t stop running which happened a few times mid shower. Breakfast was great. However what let’s this down is that the hotel is incredibly noisy. Music till after two am keeping you awake and the city centre location meant incessant noise until after three from drunks and police and fighting. Overall for £65 you get what you pay for if all you want is a bed to crash out in. If you want a good nights sleep however I would look elsewhere

Very enjoyable stay.
Stayed on the second floor family room, it was great, had all facilities that served very well. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. All good was very nice and tasty. Close to all amenities of the town. Train station less than a 10min walk. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. Thanks.

worst hotel ever stayed
No parking first of all so prepare to park yr car on street their another partner hotel is terrible as far as the service is concern they have attitude of don't give monkeys excuse my language specially their another partner something name western. Staying in both and I am sure they both are in competition which one is worst. Another great example jug of water cost 3 Pounds

We had mixed feelings when we saw the hotel. From the outside it looked old and when we got into the lounge/reception are the place looked dated. The staff were very polite and friendly. The two bedrooms we had were very spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. If only they could modernise the lounge and reception area. We did have breakfast which was good and plentiful. The only thing missing about the hotel was there were no parking.

Not the best experience, room wasn't clean (hair in the bed and stain on the sheets), noise from party in hotel went on until early hours of the morning and the drunken people in the street summed up the area. Won't be back...

A party pub with rooms above
A mistake. This is really a party pub with rooms above. Floor in bar sticky. Clean room, if stained carpet, desk really badly stained with cup and glass rings, Duvet bed-end satin topper stained. Modern bathroom although shower tap hard to turn off. Friendly staff but the whole place feels quite run down and unloved. Very old, uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast average, at chipped-edge Formica tables. No fresh pepper/salt available for (rather hard) scrambled eggs but filter coffee good. Outlook really quite depressing. Local colleagues could find nothing good to say about it.

Reasonable hotel, clean room, nice staff. The only drawback was lack of parking and not much advice from night receptionist. It was a late arrival (11:30 pm ish) and I had to sort parking for myself in a strange town. I know it is my own fault as I should have checked when booking if parking was available but a little more help would have been greatly appreciated.

Was informed prior to arrival of disco below our room , but this turned out to be a nightclub with very loud music. Lower floor rooms certainly not suitable for elderly guests or those wanting to go to bed at a normal time i.e. before 3am. I have to say that at least the hotel did call to inform me about this prior to our arrival.

Loud music in the evening, and a couple making "noisy" sex in a next door room and we had our 2 young kids with us in our room.. Not nice. Food not tasty.
