“The only place we stay in grass valley. Quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown. Great happy hour and hand made omelets in the morning for breakfast.”

“It was fine if you are interested in just a room to sleep. It was clean and comfortable. But small. No dresser and no closet to put your clothes in. Came with small frig and small microwave. Very small parking lot, but your parking space is right in front of your room, so that is very convenient!!”

“The hotel decor was perfect for the historical aesthetic and the room, itself, was comfortable. However, it was at the back of the hotel right next to the outside generator which hummed all night long. The morning coffee was weak and cold and the scones and fritatta were inedible. They consider the "free" breakfast as an amenity but you pay for it as part of the "resort fee". Aside from that, the service was very good and the food in the restaurant was quite good, as well.”

“The property has no staff or management on-site overnight. We checked in as normal but when we returned at 11 pm our room cards would not work. We rang the button outside the office - you could hear the phone ringing for two minutes, then it disconnected. Tried that more than a few times. Also called the phone number to reach the hotel several times - also no answer. Called Expedia, they could not reach hotel staff. Expedia attempted to get us another hotel room in Nevada City, no other hotels...

“I recently stayed here for several nights and overall had a positive experience. Things didn't start out that way, as the first room I was assigned was really grim. There was an awful smell coming from the carpet (similar to wet dog) and permeated the entire space and bathroom. In addition, the toilet was running and didn't have a functioning flush. I was really hesitant to approach the front desk and complain, as am usually not a picky or confrontational person. However, I had nothing to lose...
