앞에 파머스마켓이랑 큰 약국, 쇼핑몰있는거 캐좋음 직원분들 서비스친절함 다만 겨울에가서 히터가 너무 건조하고 소음이컸음 수영장물이 드러워 들어갈 엄두가안났음 하지만 거리상 넘 좋아씀

근처가 밤에도 안전한 것이 가장 마음에 들었습니다. 바닥에 카펫이 일부만 깔려 있었는데, 신발을 벗고 생활하는 동양인에게는 불편하였습니다.

방도 넓고 쾌적했습니다. 주변 분위기도 좋았고, 무엇보다 Farmer's Market, The Grove 몰과 Trader Joe's도 완전 가까워서 편하고 좋았습니다. 매우 만족 합니다.

좋은 위치에 있는 꽤 괜찮은 부티크 호텔
깨끗하고 편리한 부티티 호텔. 인근 The Grove Mall도 가깝고.. 주변에 Whole Food Market, CVS, Trader's Joe등의 마켓등과도 가까워서 필요한 물건을 살수도 있어서 좋음. 편리성, 접근성 등에서 좋은 지역에 위치한 것이 강점임. 호텔과 연계서비스를 제공하는 TART라는 괜찮은 레스토랑도 함께 있어 식사하기에도 편리함.

유아 동반 가족여행에는 비추입니다.
그로브몰을 걸어서 왔다갔다 할 수 있었던 점은 아주 좋았지만 그 점을 제외하고 특별히 다른 장점은 없었습니다. 다시 LA를 간다면 다른 숙소를 갈 것 같아요. 우선 침대가 너무 높아 4세 아이와 함께 잘 때 떨어질까봐 매우 불안했으며 더블 베드 룸이었는데 여행 가방을 펼쳐두면 걸어다닐 공간도 제대로 없을 만큼 좁았어요. 밤에 좀 서늘함을 느껴 히터를 틀었는데(에어컨 및 히터 겸용) 진짜 시끄러운 소리가 나면서 가동되더라구요. 진짜 깜짝 놀랄 정도로 시끄러운 소리가 났습니다. 샤워실에 욕조가 있기는 하지만 샤워기가 천장에만 있고 따로 호스로 연결된 샤워기가 없어서 유아를 씻기기에 부적합하였으며 (애 있으신 분들은 이해하실 듯..) 밤에 옆방에서 샤워기를 틀 때 진짜 엄청 큰 소리로 물소리가 들립니다. 저희 옆방은 새벽 1시쯤 샤워기를 트는 소리가 났는데 진짜 물소리가 어찌나 큰지 자다가 깰 정도였습니다. 호텔 내부의 식당은 한번 가보았는데 햄버거 맛은 매우 뛰어났고 김치볶음밥 맛은 매우 별로였습니다. 아무튼 가격 대비 효용은 별로였습니다.

도심속 내추럴한 호텔
일단 위치는 정말 최상. 길 바로 건너편에 그로브몰, 파머스마켓, 홀푸드마켓이 있고 근처에 verve coffee도 있고요. 로빈룸에 묵었는데 룸도 크고 호텔같지않은 인테리어도 맘에 들었고 완전 큰 거울이 있어서 좋았어요. 너무 푹신한것보다는 약간 딱딱한 매트리스를 선호하는데 그 점도 만족스러웠어요. 체크인시 직원들도 친절했고 로비에 웰컴쿠키도 있고 위스키타임이라 시음도 가능했어요. 무료로 로비에 비치된 컴퓨터 및 프린터를 사용할수 있어서 NBA 바우처도 프린트했구요. 다만 매일 10$씩 service feee를 내는데도 불구하고 하우스키핑서비스가 대충한 느낌이었고 이전에 침대밑 카펫에 뭐가 묻었던것같은데 제대로 닦지 않은것 같았어요. 길가라 약간 시끄럽긴 한데 체크인시 미리 조용한방을 원한다 했더니 안쪽방으로 줘서 많이 불편하진 않았는데 에어컨 돌아가는 소리가 심해서 일부러 안켰어요; 그리고 방에 냉장고가 없는데 생각보다 이 점이 많이 불편했어요ㅠ

Our room, the standard king, was a bit cramped, but beautiful and quirky. We walked every day to Farmers’ Market across street for breakfast or lunch or just a stroll. The front desk and restaurant bar staff were exceptional in their willingness to assist with any question or issue. My only complaint is that the maid service was slow and I would have liked to lay down for an early afternoon nap.

Didn’t have proper safety locks on the room. There were no chain locks or anything other than the lock that can be opened by a key.

階段が近く通行人の会話が朝から騒々しい。また大通り沿いの部屋だったので、トラックの音で目が覚める。 設置されてない電気湯沸器等はフロントで借りれた。 商業施設が近いので便利。 また歩けるくらいに比較的安全。 フロントは笑顔の人と不機嫌そうな人で差が激しい。 バレットで預ける車は目の前か中庭に駐車してある。 最後には鍵を渡され自分で見つけて荷物を乗せて出発。 意味あるのか不明。

I don’t normally stay at boutique properties but chose Short Stories for its convenient location and walk ability. I was surprised at how clean the hotel room was and how good the service was. We got complimentary drink tickets and there is a very cute courtyard bistro bar right in the center of the hotel that we sat and had drinks a snacks before we went out for the night. I would definitely stay here again!

This property is definitely a find and a gem tucked in a walkable neighborhood of Fairfax ave with so many dining options within walking distance. Spacious rooms and lounge and a sensible use of the so called “ amenity fee” by providing us free morning coffee and water . My only complaint is that the food and beverage credit of $40.00 was never refunded to me . Called their front desk twice but the refund never manifested. Expedia also says free welcome drink bur no drink was offered. But this must be an Expedia thing. Still worth a visit ….

Appalling experience! Arrived at 1.00pm and told room wasn’t ready, went back at 2.00pm and told room was nearly ready. Went back at 3.00pm, watched someone else checking in, told there were no rooms available and they would put us in another hotel a few blocks away. Told our room had a maintenance issue, when I asked what this was they couldn’t tell me.

My stay at this property was excellent!! It was everything I wanted it to be. Location and the size of the property were key to a successful visit for me. Zach and the rest of the staff were professional and courteous. I have no complaints!!

A uniquely designed hotel with friendly staff. The location is steps away from Trafer Joes, Sidecar Donuts, the farmers maker and the Grove shopping. It was the perfect location for a little weekend getaway.

I really enjoyed my four night stay. It’s a really nice property in what feels like a safe area next to everything you need. I loved walking to the Famers Market and the Grove, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and restaurants. There is a courtyard pool heated to 80 degrees that would have been nice to use but the weather was rainy. Staff is not friendly but nice enough. Parking is very expensive, even if you just need to stop in for a short while. Overnight parking was $45. There is a lot of noise from traffic-if you’re a light sleeper keep that in mind. The bar has good food and drinks and a very nice staff and I’d definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying here and as much as we appreciate the nice, clean and modern room, surrounding area and beautiful property in the middle of the busy Fairfax area, the service at the front desk was so disappointing. They seemed uninterested and were definitely not as friendly and welcoming as the staff who worked here a couple of years ago. They also gave us the wrong information about parking as the instructions conflicted with what the valet attendant told us. It seemed like there was no communication between the two which was confusing for us as guests.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Short Stories. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and allowed plenty of space. The courtyard area is serene and a great place to enjoy complimentary coffee in the morning. It is a short walk to The Grove for shopping/dining/entertainment. The hotel restaurant was charming and a great place to end the day with a beverage. We would absolutely return.
