We are not a hotel and we have never marketed ourselves as such.We offer a traditional Moroccan breakfast of our homemade Moroccan pancakes, eggs, bread, confiture, butter, honey, fresh orange juice and tea or coffee. Our staff did everything that they could to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.I am extremely sorry that our accommodation did not suit you.

All our rooms are cleaned before our guests' arrival and we are always complimented by our high standard of cleanliness by other guests. i'm very sorry if you did not find this to be the case. Unfortunately work was going on outside the riad in replacing all the drains in our derb and it is high summer hence the smell. This is completely outwith our control.Our manager explained this to you and apologised.

I am very sorry that this guest did not enjoy her very brief stay with us. I would like to take this opportunity to correct some inaccuracies in this review This guest booked our budget room on our non-refundable rate and on arrival our manager immediately upgraded her to one of our more spacious rooms on the first floor. If this reviewer did not like her room, she did have the option of returning to her original smaller ground floor room. Our manager spent a considerable amount of time trying to ensure that this lady and her husband were comfortable. What this guest omitted to mention in her review is that all our bedrooms come with brand new individual heating units which our manager turned up as high as possible -30 degrees for her. Our manager also put in an additional eclectic fire to try and ensure that she was comfortable. In keeping with the family atmosphere of the riad, we do not have locks on our bedroom doors. We do however have safety deposit boxes in all our rooms and there is 24-hour security in the rias with a member of staff always being on duty. Our riad like all other riads in Marrakech is an old house built round an open courtyard. These houses were built to keep the occupants cool during the long hot days of which there are many. I would have expected this reviewer, who seems to be a seasoned traveller, to be aware that in Morocco during the winter months it can be a bit chilly and to come prepared for this. Our staff work hard to ensure our guests’ comfort. There is a heater in our dining room, portable gas heaters in our courtyard and our roof is covered to retain as much heat as possible. However, there is a limit to what we can do in an old building in the Moroccan winter. I am also puzzled and surprised by this reviewer’s comment about her dinner as she and her husband cleared their plates
