โLocation is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10amโ
โThe hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! And the food was amazing and a wonderful experience. We had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and they were all...
โVery pleasant hotel japanese style, with good service at traditional japanese breakfast. You can also serve yourself of bread, coffe and milk in a the buffet.โ
โStaff made us very welcome and the shuttle service was excellent. The dining at the hotel was a very special experience (our first). An excellent choice.โ
โImpeccably clean, nice hot onsen, super helpful front desk. Cozy comfy beds. We donโt try the food but we will next time because it smelled delicious. *expedia site is WRONG - itโs not a 3 minute walk to ski resort - Itโs a 30 min drive.โ
โWe were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. โ
โGood location. Close to train and bus station and convenience store.
Good breakfast, Huge and clean room, and reasonable price.
Facilities(incl. hot spring) were somewhat old need to repair or change.
Wi-fi was suck.โ
