Dirty unhelpful and elec hazards
Filthy place. Not half what is advertised. Dirt pool, dirty fridge. No free wifi no free cable tv, not even a bed sheet to cover during the night. 2 towels for 4, of which one scratched. Safety concerns with broken elec near the pool. Room not ready on arrival, breakfast not ready the next day (very basic) birds eating the pervious day leftovers in the restaurant kitchen, not clean either.

Die Villen bieten sehr viel Platz (3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, 1 Extra-WC). Der Privatpool und das gepflegte Grün drum herum waren eindeutig ein Plus! Die Küche ist einfach ausgestattet; manche Kochutensilien fehlen. Bei dem dazugehörigen Restaurant kann man unheimlich gut und auch preiswert Essen gehen! Das inkludierte Frühstück ist ein Minibuffet (Toast, 1 Marmelade, Butter, lecker Obstsalat, Pfannkuchen, Kastenkuchen, Tee, Kaffee). Auf Wunsch werden Eierspeisen frisch zubereitet. Die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, die auch gerne beim Organisieren von Touren und Transfers behilflich sind, muss erwähnt werden. Bei dieser Unterkunft hat man eine große Privatsphäre auf der einen Seite (durch den Platz, den Privatpool mit großzügiger Terrasse und die Möglichkeit der Selbstversorgung), aber auch den familiären Anschluss durch die freundlichen Gastgeber auf der anderen Seite. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Hinweis: Zum Strand sind es fußläufig 6-8 Minuten. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Küstenstraße. Den Verkehr bekommt man ein wenig mit.

Großzügige Villa mit eigenem Pool
Die Villas sind durch eine Straße vom Meer getrennt. Der Public Beach ist direkt gegenüber, zwischen 2 Hotels gelegen und in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Villas sind sehr groß und problemlos für eine 6-köpfige Familie oder 2 bis 3 Pärchen zu bewohnen. Einige Einrichtungsgegenstände sind in die Jahre gekommen und die Kochausstattung ist etwas spärlich (eine Pfanne, ein Topf), aber wenn etwas fehlt, muss man sich melden und es wird besorgt. Das Frühstück ist landestypisch auf gehobenem Niveau. Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant ist sehr gut und wird auch gerne von umliegenden Hotelgästen in Anspruch genommen. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der eigene Pool vor jeder Villa ist natürlich nicht zu verachten und wurde von uns gerne genutzt.

The staff was extremely helpful,private swimming pool is a big advantage! Cleaning every day, 5 mins from the public beach. Breakfast was quite poor, not enough variety, without own car difficult to get to the nearest town to do shopping or reach some bars.

If you don't have high expectations you shouldn't be disappointed. The villa is a good size for a family of 4 and the pool is good for a cool down or play with smaller kids. Not for 'swimming' though. The restaurant serves a variety of tasty food and friendly staff. We ate there regularly, though sitting at the same table for breakfast we saw that on most occasions the table hadn't been cleaned from the night before. Not such a big deal for us but I'm sure would be for others. Breakfast was limited and at times crawling with ants though, to be fair, that could be down to the lack of care taken by other residents. Cereal (2 types), fruit salad, pancakes (not always available for us), some sort of savoury offering, a juice, toast and jam ....but you're able to order an omelette which helped me for sure. Friendly an amenable hosts seemingly keen on ensuring your stay is a good one. Special mention for staff members Avis and Catherine

Nabijheid strand 24/7 bewaking/omheind terrein Staat meubelen/inrichting: aantal zaken beschadigd en ontbreken. Mooie omgeving, veel natuur en mooi strand Seasons restaurant prima, uitgebreide kaart. Eigenaar echte gastheer, hij maakte met zijn warme welkom in het restaurant onze rommelige checkin meer dan goed. Mbt ontvangst, in bevestiging stond checkin via Seasons maar daar werden we weggestuurd naar ingang villaterrein. Ontvangst villa heel vluchtig, geen tour. Medewerker bleek 1e dag te hebben. Houd rekening met heel beperkt serviesgoed, schoonmaak villa niet naar westerse maatstaven (bezem/mop), geen oven. Bij navraag blikopener en droogrek zijn deze geregeld. Fijne service.

Nice Villa with lots of potential
The villa was nice and spacious and very well laid out. It was private and a relaxing place to stay. The three bedrooms all had double beds in them, it would be better for us if one of the rooms has two single beds in it rather than a double, as we were travelling with three children. The villa could do with a re-decoration inside as it is becoming to look a bit tired and worn. Nothing that a bit of paint could not sort out. Also it does really need a deep clean and the en-suite shower cubicle tray could do with replacing. Nothing excessive to bring the standard back up. The advertised WIFI is intermittent and slow and needs bringing up to today's expected standards. The Owner of the property and the staff are very friendly and genuine people and will do anything to help you. There is an excellent restaurant on site and the staff and food are excellent.

Holiday in Belle Mare
The property and location was good. The property was spacious & very good privacy. I did not like the cutlery provided- we had 4 mugs and 3 of them were chipped & stained. We could easily get hurt. I did not like the fact that towels are not changed on a daily basis. The staffs were very helpful especially the security guy. He was very helpful as well as the kitchen staff. Breakfast was good - but they could make a slight change to the menu daily. I had to see the owner at her villa for check in. There is also a lack of leaflets on what to do around. Overall I had a good stay at the Orchid Villa and would probably go again as the villa itself is very good.

Best service in Mauritius!
The owner and his staff displayed the greatest hospitality I've encountered on the island. The food on site was amazing and the value for the price can't be beat. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice location close to beach.
When travelled on road by car, I liked the greenery view mostly sugarcane plantation. Vegetables & fruits such as pineapple, lychee & mangoes. Smooth traffic on the road. People are very cool. Beach with white sand and very clean. Blue bay very nice and bottom glass boat excellent to seen many types of coral and colour fishes.

Wir hatten die Villa zu dritt gebucht und hatten jede Menge Platz. Ganz besonders toll fanden wir das Personal, wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und von Chef bis Service und Sicherheitspersonal waren alle stets gut gelaunt und haben uns jeden Wünsche erfüllt (weil unser Ausflug schon früh Morgens startete, wurde uns das Frühstück z.B. schon früher in die Villa gebracht). Der Chef organisierte uns Taxis und Ausflüge, wir durften unsere Koffer noch einen Tag in seinem Haus unterstellen. Die Villen sind sehr großzügig und für den Preis bekommt man mehr als erwartet, nur die Zimmer könnten gemütlicher eingerichtet sein. Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum und umsonst (das ist in dieser Preiskategorie nicht selbstverständlich) Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Had a fabulous time
The location is fantastic, a short walk to Belle Mare beach which is one of the best in Mauritius - miles and miles of lovely powder white sand and Turquoise Ocean. The villas are spacious and well equipped and offer great value. There is a restaurant on site which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable cost. I cannot speak highly enough about the very friendly and helpful staff who made my stay far more comfortable than I had ever hoped.

Nice familie home
We were here with our son and it was a nice stay. The staff was great and the house big and comfatable. We had a beautiful swimingpool at our house and enough sun all day. Only some more kichen gear, would have been helpful with cooking and there was no BBQ.

Belle villa, propre, bon petit dèj, bon accueil, très calme. Proche de la plage à pieds. Idéal pour un week end ou un court séjour 2 voire 3 nuits, si on n'a pas de voiture. On est loin de tout, on est isolé, il faut absolument une voiture si on veut se déplacer et si on souhaite rester plus de 3 jours. Bon dèj mais répétitif toujours le même.

Vi var 3 i sällskapet som fick dela på en hel villa med privat pool. Var alltså gott om plats! Runt hela villan växte massor av palmer och andra växter så det var ingen insyn från de andra villorna. Bara att gå över vägen och 100 meter rakt ner för att komma till belle mare stranden. Verkligen prisvärt boende! Skulle boka här igen framför de lyxigare dyra hotellen.

Nous avons réservé une maison pour avoir le confrot de l'hotel sans les inconvéniants (surtout avec 2 enfants). Une navette avec siège bébé était censée venir nous récupérer à l'aéroport mais rien... Heureusement que nous avions l'internationnal sur notre téléphonne pour contacter l'hotel pour au final prendre un taxi... Arrivé sur place, une visite rapide des lieux et un verre d'accueil ont été fait. Les équipements sont presque absent 3 casseroles, un couteau de "cuisine" qui coupe pas, pas d'équipement pour se faire à manger (pour l'autonomie c'est un peu difficile!) La propreté du coin cuisine laisse à désirer. Le coin évier était sale avec de l'eau stagnante et des éponges sales. La cafetière était pleine de café (sans filtre) et j'ai dû la nettoyer avant de pouvoir l'utiliser... La bouilloire avait encore l'eau de je ne sais combien de temps. Les plaques de protections aux murs sont grasses et sales ce qui rebute un peu! Et pour finir les tiroirs puaient le renfermé... Une ou deux personnes passent tous jours pour "faire" le ménége mais on dirait + une visite des lieux qu'autre chose. Un coup de balais vite fait sans passer sous les meubles et la serpillère on oublie! En gros je mettais la main à la pate (avec un bébé de 9 mois qui se déplace au sol pas le choix!). Le petit déjeuné est sommaire pain de mie, confiture, café soluble et jus et morceaux de fruits. Point positif: la piscine est très bien entretenue et les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables avec la clim

Self catering, with hotel-type benefits
Orchid Villas isn't a hotel, but a collection of 6 bed villas on a gated plot, with one in which the owners live and also a larger building housing the restaurant. As such, the service from the owner Ravin and his team is very personal, accessible and welcoming, and dining is so convenient if you want to eat on site. Daily maid service keeps the rooms spotless and delivers breakfast items for the following day. Each villa has a small shallow pool which is good for cooling down (but a little too small to swim in) and is cleaned daily. Towels are provided for bathrooms and pool. Villas are screened from each other by trees which are much more mature than the pictures show. All in all, an easy place to stay in.

Au calme entouré de verdure, la villa est bien équipée et le ménage y est fait tous les jours (même la vaisselle !). Le petit déjeuner est plutôt basique ( fruit, toast ) mais il y a un restaurant absolument délicieux pour prendre ses repas midi et soir si l'on se veut pas cuisiner. La gérante est de bon conseil pour louer une voiture ou booker une excursion.Je retournerai avec plaisir séjourner à Orchidvilla.

un site idéale pour un séjour au calme en famille
Un séjour des plus agréable en considérant que nous avons vécu une tempête tropicale. Nous avons pleinement profiter de la piscine et de la maison ainsi que du restaurant voisin avec un service impeccable et des plats délicieux . Seul bémol il manque un supermarché a coté. Un détail gênant à la réservation il était indiqué que l'hôtel allait prélever et au final il fallait payer sur place, ce qui fut confirmé un peu tard par hotel.com

静谧的私人空间，环境布置得惬意。每天有人打扫房间，游泳池每两天换一次水。老板很热心地为我们规划了行程，预约了司机，很贴心。

Henkilökunta oli erittäin avuliasta ja mukavaa. Villojen omista huolehti henkilökohtaisesti perheemme tarpeista. Hän järjesti meille kohtuu hintaan auton vuokrauksen ja ikimuistoisen veneilypäivän. Lähimpään kauppaan kävely kestää noin 20 min. Kannattaa vuokrata oma auto vaikka tien toisella puolella on loistohotellin taksiasema.Lähimmälle upealle rannalle on muutaman minuutin kävely matka. Ravintolan ruoka oli erittäin hyvää ja kohtuu hintaista. Aamiainen tuodaan toiveittenne mukaan edeltävä päivänä jääkaappiin. Villa on todella tilava ja toimiva ratkaisu jos matkustat ison perheen kanssa.

Rymlig villa med egen pool, ca 2 minuters promenad till vacker strand. Lugnt läge, inga butiker i närheten. Du åker taxi eller hyr bil till restauranger. Villan ger dock möjlighet till självhushåll, men en anläggningen har en bra restaurang.

Une petite villa paissible en famille,le bonheur pour les enfants et repo pour les parents! La mere est a 300m mais apres ca plus rien! Il est tres important d avoir une voiture ou un chauffeur(en general tres serviable)il y a un resto dans l enceinte de la villa mais imposible de s y rendre tous lesj jours, trop repetitif.Le petit dej est trop negligé,il m est arrivé d avoir une pomme et une orange pour 3 enfants et 2 adultes,ou 4 tranches d ananas....en gros c est paisible mais rien du tout a proximité!Pour une info=demander au proprio(derangeant). tres belle ile prendre tous les renseignements avant de partir pour pouvoir faire les activités

Kanon villa
Vi bodde på Orchid Villas i två veckor (2 vuxna och 2 barn. 6 och 3 år) och är kanonnöjda. Kan inte bli bättre service då ägarna bor på området och hjälper till med allt som man ber om tex utflykter. Restaurangen Four Season som tillhör området serverar otroligt god och läcker mat till väldigt rimliga priser och supertrevlig personal. Det är bara 200 m till havet om man tröttnar på att bada i sin egen pool som man har i sin egen jättefina trädgård.

Nos sentimos como en casa! La villa es muy grande, con tres habitaciones dobles, dos lavabos (uno de ellos en suite en la habitación principal), un salón enorme y una buena cocina... Como no queríamos cocinar, íbamos al restaurante de las villas, y la comida espectacular. Típica de Mauricio, completa y viariada. Y muy barato! Además, hacían unos cócteles espectaculares. Todo lleno de facilidades, los propietarios viven ahí mismo, y están por ti en todo momento, y hacen lo que necesites para que te sientas agusto!

Complesso di 6 ville indipendenti, ognuna con la propria piscina, cucina ben attrezzata, salotto, 3 camere da letto, 3 bagni. Rapporto qualità prezzo: ottimo. La spiaggia a 2 minuti di cammino è una meraviglia. Per la colazione viene fornito un vassoio la sera precedente, un po' scarsa (ma con un minimo di organizzazione si risolve tutto e la spesa al supermercato ha un costo molto basso). La consigliamo vivamente!!!!!!!!!!!
