"Staff and guests, basically no one was using masks in the common areas. COVID-19 isn’t gone yet! My family and I were the the only one’s using masks at all time."

"We had a great stay at the exocabanas. The beach is the best in Mahahual, the water is so clear. Bring your goggles. The staff were super friendly and the resort has a gym which we were pleased for. Thanks for a great stay."

"The personal was very kind and willing to help. I wish I could say the same for the rest of my stay. Unfortunately the water was stinking and there were lots of ants. I wouldn’t stay in that hotel again. In fact I wouldn’t visit Mahahual again."

I even tried to just pay there and my card got locked down for fraud. Expedia called them and they said they have no rooms wven though I paid for the same one 3 times. "This is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL. So,
PRO: Súper friendly staff, big kitchen you can use, right in front of the beach, in the middle of nowhere. No people around. Perfect for a getaway with no cellphones.
CONS: Not the cleanest place, they don’t clean the rooms during your stay, staff only works during mornings so if you need something during the day it’s kinda difficult. The beach is full of garbage and full of sargazo which even if it’s not their fault they could clean the beach in front of the...

"The staff at El Fuerte were definitely a highlight — very helpful, kind, and supportive throughout our stay. The rooms are a bit outdated, but they were clean and perfectly fine for what you’d expect at this level. There was a slight humid, musty smell at first, but it went away quickly once the AC was running.
Overall, I’d rate it about 2.5 stars. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and pleasant — and I’d stay here again.

"We visited Mahahual for the first time, traveling from Cancun with a stop at Xel-Ha along the way. The property manager was very accommodating and arranged a smooth late check-in for us. My daughter absolutely loved the beach right in front of the hotel, and we also booked an amazing snorkeling tour. While the hotel doesn’t have on-site parking, we found a safe spot by the basketball court just behind the property. We stayed in a double room, which was comfortable and met our needs, with cozy beds for a good night’s rest."
"A Magical Christmas Getaway in Mexico with hotel Jaiba.
Our stay here in Mexico over Christmas was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles, festive decorations, and an unmistakable air of holiday cheer. The hotel was beautifully adorned with twinkling lights, poinsettias, and a grand Christmas tree that instantly put us in the holiday spirit.
The accommodations were impeccable—our room was spacious, tastefully decorated with motivational quotes and art from the staff.
We hired bikes and did our laundry both of which were easy to book via the lovely staff at reception.
One big highlight for us was after asking about how to get to our next destination reception called ahead for us at the bus station and made sure we were booked on for the only bus leaving that day and even booking a taxi for us early morning. Just went above and beyond which is what you want on holiday at Xmas.
The hotel is a lil out of the way but it's sooo cheap to get into town and grab a taxi on the main road. It's also very flat so bikes were a great addition to our stay.
The staff’s attentiveness and genuine kindness made our stay truly lovely and the dogs and cats just made it all that more wonderful to stay. "
