Close to beach. Hotel condition was just ok. Room key was old fashioned. When we close door ouside, it can not be locked automatically. We should use key.

The location was great but the actual building was hard to locate. Even our Uber rider had a hard time finding it. You also have to check in & out at a separate property, 2 buildings over, leaving the actual “lobby” of the Impala unattended. Our AC unit in our room did not work properly and we had to keep propping our door open to ventilate the room.

Tv didn’t work the whole time I was there it has no view no microwave no ice staff don’t have costumer service, I asked about tv and they lie to my face saying they send someone to fix tv never did . This place is okay for emergency one night only my opinion. Normally this owner is a good not this time

A mixed bag. On one hand, we felt like we were in Spain or Italy. Beautiful place, and very close to the beach and lots of fun places. On the other hand, absolutely no maintenance. The first day, I reported that our TV didn't work. The man at the desk looked disturbed, and gravely said, "I'll make a phone call." A few hours later I asked how the TV repair was going, and the woman revealed that it wasn't just us, it was the whole hotel, it had been out for a while, and the darned technician just kept not showing up. There's a security gate at the street entrance to the hotel area. The first night, the mechanism that makes it close automatically broke, so for the rest of our stay, we usually found the security gate hanging open. The second day, I discovered that the battery in our room safe was dead. I tried to call the front desk several times. No one ever answered. So I went down to the front desk, which required going outside, out onto the street, and into the hotel next door. I reported the dead battery. The same man again looked deeply concerned, and solemnly asked, What is your room number? As if they had a maintenance person. As if anyone gave a rip. Needless to say, the tv, the gate, and the safe continued to be kaput for the rest of our three night stay. I gave this place 3 stars anyway because it was really cheap for the area and the room was nice, clean and quiet. Just don't expect any service aside from cleaning the room.

Great location, can get by the bus from the Miami airport for $5 (two persons and the luggage), nice internal space for chilling in the evening. Note: Some rooms can be a noisy at nights, due to nearby garbage collection area and night clubs.

Tried to reach the hotel for 2 hours before check in… couldn’t get thru. Key didn’t work , tv didn’t work, safe didn’t work, 1 towel for 2 people(we found housekeeping and they gave us more) funky smell too.

Great value for mone, clean and qauint. Checking is confusing if you arrive at night. The impala hotel sign is not lit up and it’s small, and you need to check in at the hotel next door. So the Impala entrance is a small gate you go through once you check in at another hotel right next door. Sounds more confusing that it is but at night it can be.

Impala is a hidden gem in the middle of all the action in South Beach. Excellent location. Nice spacious rooms. Great Bathrooms and closet space. Beds are very comfortable. My go to place when in South Beach. Booked before with them, and will continue to do so.

I made reservations 6 months in advance for a king suite. The day I arrive, the front desk clerk told me the room I reserved is not avaliable due to shower not working. The front desk clerk said they knew about the shower issue right before I reserved the room, 6 months ago. I asked why didn't I receive a call, the clerk said he did call the day of the reservation and couldn't reach me. I don't have a missed call, there was no voice message, and why not call me months, weeks, days in advance to inform me so I can reserve another hotel. The clerk said there was only one room left, which was a closet compared to what I initially reserved. And the room was five feet from the front desk and 15 feet from the front door of the hotel, so we heard everyone entering and exiting the hotel. I went back to the clerk to complain about the room size and noise, the clerk said "you can ask for a full refund and find another hotel". The problem is, all the hotel rooms were booked for Memorial weekend or they were priced much higher than what I was willing to pay So I was stuck. The room was not cleaned, the mini fridge was leaking, the centeral air is directed at the bed, coffee pot not working, the iron was super small (literally a pocket size), cleaning staff talking loud, and opening and closing doors aggressively. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I truly feel my room was given away to someone who was willing to pay more for it.

Please believe my review! Furniture with a musty smell, old pillows, air conditioning giving off a musty smell, dirty floors with beach sand everywhere, noisy place with disco music until 4:00 am. And it would be worse if I was on the upper floors because THERE IS NO ELEVATOR.

Pleasant staff for the most part. Property was really cute and room condition was satisfactory. Beds were comfortable (we stayed at 209 - king bed suite and 101 - 2x queen beds). Note that sofa bed in 209 (suite with king bed) is not suitable for sleeping. We were locked out of our room on night 4, the last night before our flight. Electronic door lock stopped working. They did not have backup manual key to open it. We were transfered to another available room for the night while still in our salty beach clothing and contact lenses. Late next morning, the door was finally forced opened after a couple of attempts to fix. We (3 girls) were disappointed that the hotel was not able to get us into our room until the late morning. No compensation was offered. The new room offered was a slight downgrade, from a suite to a double queen. Overall positive 1) helpful and pleasant staff 2) comfortable beds 3) cute decors 4) great location Negatives 1) uncomfortable sofa bed 2) lengthy response to electronic keys not working Suggestions 1) manual room key for backup instead of full electronic 2) upgrade guests to a better room in such circumstances 3) offer compensation, even if it's just a token offer 4) quicker response time to similar problems in the future

The floor and bathtub were very dirty. It had visible dirt all over the floor. The WiFi was not working and since the only TV was via streaming we had no TV either. Would not recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Impala Hotel! The architecture and private entrance/courtyard are lovely, the staff is super friendly, the bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the convenient location. The only downsides were the sometimes spotty wifi and the key-cards needing to be reprogrammed. But overall, we loved this little boutique hotel and would definitely stay there again. Michael at the front desk was especially wonderful and helpful.

Un servicio de excelencia. A mi habitacion se le daño el aire di la queja y ya a los 5 minutos ya estaban en mi cuarto averiguando el problema. Me dieron un upgrade de cuarto y fue excelente. Todos los que me atendieron fueron muy amables empezando por el tecnico de aire, por los de mantenimiento y Sr del front Desk que se me esacpa el nombre pero fueron muy atentos y solucionaron el problema rapido.

We found our room to be comfortable and quaint. The attendant at the desk on checkin was great (Michael). However, no water glasses in the room-not one! No coffee! I tried to call-the phone in the room doesn’t call out to the desk. The room cost me $366. What kind of service is this?

I’m currently still here. One night. 1st- no staff so I had to check in at the hotel next door. Keys didn’t work. “Sofa bed” is a futon style. Not large enough for 2. Also was not given any sheets, pillows, blankets for the sofa. Not enough towels. Had to call and then go to the hotel next door to pick up my own sheets, towels etc. couldn’t figure out the shower. Had to call. She said “yeah, that’s the Impala…”. Floors were grimy and dirty. Almost like crumbs and dirt were sprinkled around. Fabric on chairs lacked cleanliness. Tear in fabric of sofa bead. Tacky. Coffee maker… no coffee or sugars or anything. No cups. No hairdryer. No ICE!!! And nowhere to get any ice. TVs don’t get any channels. No bathroom amenities. 2nd floor walk up, no elevator for my elderly mom, let alone our heavy luggage. Very loud outside with yelling, partying, load music and honking. Very disappointed. Location was good.

This was a small boutique hotel that satisfied our travel needs. It's more of a no frills option that did not have many accommodations / services avail but this was fine for us. Check in/out is currently at sistering property La Flora hotel who's lobby is in need of a face lift. Service was friendly and location cannot be beat. Only downfall is nearby club with music thumping into early hours. Overall happy with our stay here and would recommend.
