“Great location and lovely place!”

“A friendly welcome although despite checking in online we still had to repeat the process at reception. The parking instructions had changed since we had made the booking only a few days earlier so we had to move the car. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a lovely welcome note which was a nice touch. The shower curtain bracket was broken in the en-suite which we reported to reception although the curtain could still be used. There was plenty of hot water however, the water...

“Fantastic hotel. Great location and everything was great from us arriving to leaving. The staff were amazing and nothing was a problem whatever we asked for. We had dinner in the restaurant the food was exceptional. Everything including the spa was great. Would definitely return.”

“Room was basic but clean and orderly. The beds were a bit hard but good enough for a nights sleep. Lights in the room operated on a timer rather than a switch, not sure why you can’t turn them on and off with a switch to save power, but that seems like a YHA quirk rather than the hostel itself. Staff were friendly and engaging, and facilities were good to make breakfast. There are no towels or soap so make sure to bring basic supplies for as long as your there. overall had a great stay.”

“Lovely cottage in a great location within walking distance to the town. Had everything that you would need for a nice stay. My only negative in the cottage would be the pillows. They really need to invest in new ones. If you have a large car I would not recommend this cottage. It is very difficult to get a large car in front of the cottage. A small car is fine. “Our sea view room was clean and spacious. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable though. The bathroom was clean. Could do with a couple of armchairs in the room rather than wooden ones but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were out and about most of the time. The breakfasts were good with a good choice to suit most people. We've been to the grand now about 8 times now and have honestly never had any real issues. Looking forward to our next visit.”
