“The property was spotless, very well appointed and everything was of very good quality.Breakfasts were freshly made and delicious. Our hostess was very friendly and gave us excellent advice about places to visit and good places to eat. There was nothing about the property. that we did not like.

“I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host who showed me to my room and told me about the events of the coming weekend. The pub website says that it can be noisy because they have late night events but up on the second (or was it third floor) it was actually fairly quiet even with the Pride after party going on after midnight.
The pub has a small car park that was never full in the week I was there.
The location is perfect, right in the centre of Ulverston and within easy walking...
“Newly renovated room. Comfortable bed and quiet place. The only thing is we missed the breakfast as they only serve until 9 am. We thought it’s 10 am like other hotel. LOL. Otherwise it’s really good stay and will definitely come back again. ”
“Very pleasant hotel with nice staff and all facilities you could expect. The room was perfect, except impossibility to open window for a little fresh air inside the room (air conditioning available though). Parking is big enough to park your car safely next to the hotel. City center and docks are easy to reach by walk (we recommend the docks museum, very interesting and free admission). Huge Tesco and other food corners around the hotel. ”
“The restaurant was excellent although the service was slow as there was no Maitre d' at the door to welcome and we had to wait quite a few minutes to be seated. However, the waiter cleared a table for us efficiently upon request.
The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley.
The room was comfortable and spacious fitting myself, my husband and grown son adequately.”
