"We had an outstanding stay at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas and, after exploring the Kāʻanapali area, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Maui.
The resort feels newer than the surrounding properties, and it shows. Our villa was exceptionally clean, modern, and spacious, with a great kitchen and one of the nicest resort showers we’ve experienced. We’re Disney Vacation Club owners and have stayed at many high-end resorts, and The Westin Nanea ranks among our favorites.
The location is excellent, with easy access to Kāʻanapali Beach, Whalers Village, restaurants, shopping, and golf. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxing, and very family-oriented, which we really appreciated.
A couple of tips for future guests: the towel exchange system seemed a little overcomplicated at first, but once it was explained, it wasn’t a big deal. Also, if you plan to snorkel more than once, skip the on-site rentals. They were about $25 per person, per day. We rented from The Snorkel Store about a half-mile away for $35 for eight days. The staff there were incredibly friendly, gave us a beach map with snorkeling recommendations, and let us keep the gear for our entire stay instead of returning it every day by 5:00 p.m.
Overall, the beautiful beach, outstanding accommodations, great food, and excellent location made this one of the best resort vacations our family has had. We highly recommend The Westin Nanea and will definitely be back."
