The Hotel has policy to avoid smoke inside on the rooms, however, the thirdhand smoke is too high. A internal maintenance shall be deployed

The Dorion Hôtel was close to transportation, had ac, clean bedding and bathroom and had a buzz-in entry. However, we had a very difficult time contacting the hotel to confirm. We called for weeks and there was no answer. After awhile, we got through but the staff couldn’t understand me in french or english. We called Expedia with our concerns and it took them a few days to get through to the hotel as well. Then I got an email saying they got through and I couldn’t cancel. We called again and finally spoke to someone who confirmed our reservation but couldn’t confirm the length of our stay. As for the room it was very humid and damp. It was not mentioned that the room was directly on top of a bar along with the very unclean carpet, there was a bad smell. Many small steep stairs. Also, there was no continental breakfast as advertised.

Hidden gem!
Excellent little place. The entrance will make you worry a bit, but once you get inside you’ll be met by friendly staff and marvelous rooms. Bed was incredible. Though I didn’t book it, I was given a room with a jacuzzi (I’m not sure if this can be relied upon.) Very convenient to the metro and the gay village.

Heights of uncleanness - better sleep on foot path
The most disgusting stay i have ever been to. I could not sleep for whole night as I looked what was under the blankets. Carpet condition is terrible. Room is full of bad smell from smoking. Doors that don't even close properly. Could not wait to get out of the place. Could not park our car anywhere near by. Had to take Uber to go the overnight parking place.

Jacuzzi was good... everything else was dirty , it smelled. Tv cable broke.. No coffee as advertised.

Cute little place way better than I thought it would be , located in the heart of the downtown core with plenty to do and places to eat I stay in hotels alot thanks to my job and I must say this one was one of my more enjoyable stays

I had a great stay. I had a few events in town so I just needed a place to crash for a couple of nights. I had no problems or concerns.

The barest minimum
Very shabby place: stains on everything from curtains to sheets, doors didn’t close/open, shower dripped noisily, toilet kept running, could hear every noise made in the whole building, breakfast was only coffee and bread available to make toast, parking was only on the street at your own risk. Good points were proximity to the metro and friendly staff.

The location was the best thing about the property. You were near the metro and Ste. Catherine's with all the restaurants, bars and shops. Nice kitchen. I didn't use it because we were only there a few days. If I were there longer, I definitely would have used it.

Très mauvaise impression lorsque l’on rentre dedans, tapis très sale et odeur de cigarettes froide. Chambre vétuste ainsi que l’hotel en général. Personnel sympathique qui font avec ce qu’ils ont.

Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Rooms had anything you could need for a night's sleep. Within close walking distance to a wide variety of shops and restaurants.

When I got there I got the keys when going up 3 flights off stairs I notice a big stain on the floor on the steps when I got to the door and I enter the room I notice the carpet was not vacuumed as I was getting unpacked I was taking out some food then noticed they had no microwave and no fridge I went to grab the phone in the room and it didn't not work at all so I went to the front desk and asked them for a microwave and fridge they told me they dont have any in the other rooms and it does not come with one the offered to put my food in lobby fridge but declined. A few mint later they knock on the room door to give me a mine fridge I asked for a microwave they said they have nun after plugging in the fridge notice it didn't not work.. went in the wash room found wet cigarette on the floor washroom wash clean the chairs were all stain with who knows what and they looked like they was found in the garbage bed was really hard but then notice big stain on floor beside bed next morning notice the house lady didn't knock on door for bed change instead I had to go to the lobby and ask they said she was not I and then gave me my own sheets to make the bed and i had to ask for new towels they had no coffee maker in room nor coffee to guest In the lobby it stayed empty all the time the place smelled old following the night with thumping from the guy bar downstairs but I can say one thing good about the room the hot tub was powerful and amazing but did need cleaning would not be vi

J'ai choisi cet hôtel notamment pour le fait que les petits déjeuners sont inclus et la réception m'indique qu'aucun petit déjeuner ne sera préparé. Par ailleurs, la porte de la douche se ferme très mal, le porte serviette est cassé, et la porte de la salle de bain ne se ferme pas du tout. Très mauvaise expérience.
