“It was tiny, cold and very dated and it seemed like cold came up from the floors. The wall heater worked well but was loud and had no thermostat. So waking up to turn on and off was not ideal. The bedding was good.”

“The floor was filthy and used soaps were left in the shower. The complex is under a tear out refurbish and old and broken furnishings were everywhere. The pool was green and stagnant. It was closed, but should have been drained. Quite the eyesore.”

“The electricity was out while we were there, and we were grateful that the staff allowed us to stay even though they had basically closed the motel. We were in kind of an emergency situation and needed to be close to the hospital. It was perfect for what we needed for the handful of hours. We were able to stay there and sleep.”

We were happy to accept her offer of a glass of wine at the 5pm wine tasting. In the morning, Azaela served breakfast—we loved the fresh fruit and blueberry waffle. We’d love to return next time we’re in Mt. Shasta. ”
