“The hotel is newly opened, so everything was very fresh and clean, and the staff was friendly.”

“The hotel overall was great. Staff was super. They are going through renovations so there was a bit of a mess as to be expected. The ice machine was broke but the front desk provided ice. The breakfast area was out of coffee one day but they replenished next day. Room was clean. Once the renovations are done it will be great!”

“The hotel is beautiful, from the lobby to the rooms it's all very classy. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is very nice too, and the food offerings covered all the food groups and had lots of nice extras like multiple toppings for the waffles and omelettes. The food could have been warmer though, but overall it's a nice breakfast. I look forward to staying here again! ”

“An expensive one night stay. The staff is friendly but not very talkative. They accomodated the request for a first floor room. At this price point, i didnt expect a lot of amenities, but hot coffee at 5pm is a huge plus. The building is older but rooms have been updated. The room had TV, fridge, and microwave. The beds are not fixed to wall so if you the bed for other "activities" besides sleeping, the bed will slide across the floor. They have swept under the sliding beds in awhile so...

“All was great-staff, breakfast, room, quietness, location. Only thing that made us upset was finding out that since we were staying a whole week, we had to let housekeeping come in after 3 days to clean the room. Tried to prevent that happening but lost that battle.”

“Light and outlet over the sink was not working. Room hall light did not work. Door from parking lot to hotel was inoperable. Floors in bathroom were not clean. The fire alarm sounded in the middle of the night for about 30 seconds. The breakfast was good.”

“This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio.”

“It was overwhelming crowded. Shoulder to shoulder in the pool. They should limit the amount of guest allowed to swim at one time. ”
