“Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big. “The host was very welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. Breakfast had lots of choices for different appetites. My room was lovely with a fan for the heat, plenty of tea, coffee, etc. and a powerful shower. All in all a great place to visit.”

“I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. “The car park was next to hotel room was clean with coffee and also bottles of water. Nice selection for breakfast but not much selection for evening meal .But because the information in the room wasn't updated it said the restaurant was closed and didn't find out till the last night.”

“The gym was exceptional for a spa hotel and the breakfast was very pleasant however we did find that the hotel itself was quite dated and the rooms were in need of a bit of updating. The bathroom especially could use some modernization.”
