“We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a DJ/disco on until after midnight. We were warned of this when we checked in but it was so loud and there was more noise from other guests. Parking is limited. Drinks expensive. Rooms clean but basic even though we were upgraded to a superior room. The one staff member was very helpful and friendly but overall disappointed would not stay again.”

“Our rooms looked nothing like the photo’s on here. The carpets had huge stains on them and the furniture was dated and beat up. Our window would not open and the frame was rotting. Our bathroom was dark and the shower would sporadically turn burning hot to freezing cold. The women’s toilets in the bar area had multiple out of order signs on the doors and the one I was able to use had a huge hole in the wall where tiles were missing and broken. “Super cute establishment! Room was super clean, room service came every day and replenished everything. 2 complimentary bottles of water provided every day. Staff literally bent over backwards to accommodate every step of the way. The restaurant was absolutely fire!!”

“Sian, the landlady is wonderful -- friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel's.com said there are laundry facilities but this is not true. BUT Sian did our laundry for us. We stayed in the annex but no one who was mobility problems, or is tall or heavy should stay there -- it is difficult to maneuver under the low ceilings. ”

“The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. ”

“Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. ”
