Although the location was convenient for us, this hotel is no better than a 2-star hotel in the UK. The room was extremely tired, with chipped wood furnishings, a peeling faux leather armchair, and extremely noisy air conditioning. No central lighting, just a standing lamp as the primary source of illumination, that didn't work and took a night's repair. Electrical plug sockets that were so loose you had to prop up whatever you plugged in to make them work, and electrical plug sockets in a few areas of the room didn't work at all. The overall decoration was dingy, dark, and tired, with a grubby, depressing feeling. However, the restaurant staff were excellent. The restaurant was a separate business from the hotel, but with an understanding, it would appear, as you could charge your room for your meals. However, the restaurant was informed by the reception team that our breakfast was not included, but it was.
The majority of the reception staff were pleasant. However, some male team members in the reception team lack training when dealing with guests, such as acknowledging guests, providing short one-word answers, and giving unclear instructions. It's as if they didn't want to be working there, but only wanted to impress the ladies. The reception dress code is shambolic and reminds me of a youth hostel.
