Everything is ok except the hotel is a bit old. No restaurant, no refrigerator so need to find the meal plan outside.

Thanks for staying with us. Being that our location is very small and historic, we only offer our seasonal food and beverage outlet offered in the summer and spring months. We do have tons of options in the area with great delivery options as well. We also have the mini refrigerators located in the room which can be used for personal use if needed. We work hard to make our guests happy and appreciate your feedback!

It’s an old building which adds to the “charm”. But the lack of repairs and regular maintenance makes it an awful stay!! Bathtub water is semi-clogged, filthy corners that need repair or better cleaning, worn out sinks with stains and cracks and so much more … my wife and I won’t stay here anymore … although we love the Chelsea area.

Beautiful hotel, well located, great staff…however the windows are so dirty it’s nearly impossible to enjoy the view.

The staff at this hotel was very accommodating. Rooms were clean but the hotel needs some updating. I loved the outdoor seating as well as the comfortable indoor lobby seating to have a light breakfast or an evening cocktail. The history of the property is very interesting and you really do take a step back in time. I would definitely stay there again for its ambiance as well as being a great location.

Do not stay here. They pretend to be a nice hotel but it's really awful. There is no front desk, no bellmen. There are literally zero amenities to this place. The WiFi was trash my 5g was faster, we had broken furniture in our room. The back two legs of the couch were broken so it was tilted back. We booked a suite so there was a sitting area but it was useless. There was a giant stain on the hallway carpet right outside the room. The door lock looked damaged/parted open. The door had to be forced closed. The bed itself was clean thankfully. The bathroom had no makeup mirror and some of the worst lighting I have ever experienced in a hotel room. In the bathroom there were towels, that's it, no wash clothes/hand towels. I had to track some down on my first morning there and it took about an hour. They do have a coffee bar that turns into a regular bar but that's about it. The elevator took forever. Just nothing about this experience was comfortable. We actually left the property early because it was uncomfortable. I tried to discuss my experience with them both in person and online and they don't care. The person I spoke with on the phone was rude and condescending. They have our money but they will never get another cent. Hopefully this review points you elsewhere cause this place is fake nice.

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your review of our property and I am so sorry that this is your perception of our hotel. The building was originally constructed in 1855 and the items chosen to fill and construct the rooms are definitely extremely fragile. The furniture and couches were a design aesthetic chosen by world renown designers Roman & Williams and are set back on purpose, the legs are not broken. We have recently put many hours of love into bringing The High Line back to its full potential, but it is still not for someone looking for a modern property. When booking Advanced Purchase rates, it's important to note that these are non-cancellable and non-refundable rates. I did not personally speak with you about your reservation, but this is not a negotiable policy at our hotel, nor is it a negotiable policy with Expedia. The pricing is lower because you are taking a risk by doing the advanced purchase. I hope that clarifies a bit more how it works and that we were not trying to rip you off in some way by not offering a refund because you were unhappy. We feel our website is more than clear in sharing the amenities offered at the property. Again, I am so sorry that this was your experience. We wish you the best of luck in finding a property that meets your expectations in the future.

Spacious Rooms at an affordable price
My family and I stayed at this hotel just before Christmas. Rooms were amazing. Quite spacious, especially for the City and a relatively decent value given City hotel prices. Service was fine although when I asked them to replace a broken towel hook in the bathroom, the hotel engineer never showed. Cute little coffee shop and bar in the lobby which is cozy in the morning but a little empty at night. In the summer when it's more comfortable to be outside the bar is probably a hot spot as there is a lot of nice outdoor space. I can see how the larger rooms would be good for dogs as this is a dog-friendly hotel. The decor is very old-world, with nice dark wood trim everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

The room was tired. Shower didn’t drain, dirty tiles and grout. Furniture in the room was covered in stains. Bed sheets were clean at first glance but had some stains when we looked a bit closer but they were clean.

Good location, poor hotel
Small rooms, they first put us in a hallway on the ground floor near a public restroom that smelled. For $608 per night? The only thing we liked was the location.

So fun, funky, and friendly. You can have a great walk on the High Line, and then your choice of excellent restaurants all in the same area. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location. Very convenient to the Highline, and Chelsea and Meat District Markets. Great restaurants and pubs within walking distance as well as very good breakfast options. We will stay here again. Beds were outstanding. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Excellent restaurant recommendations from Christian. A restaurant or full pub on property would be great. We will get a larger room next time.
