The ominous weather was moving on the Norris Geyser Basin's Steamboat Geyser on September 28. As the snow was spitting down around me, there was a miraculous break in the thick clouds and a quick beam of sunlight lit the geyser! We have fallen in love with this amazing National Park. We have visited over 20 National Parks and this became our favorite one right away. There is so much to see... Everything is so different. This was actually a "quick" stop on our way from the North Entrance to the Yellowstone Lake.
A 2 mile trek from the Norris geyser basin to this wonder waterfall.
Walking over to Norris Porcelain Basin you get a wonderful view from above. Here you truly understand why it's called the porcelain basin. It almost doesn't look earthly, only the trees keep it terrestrial.

All the above. We had a cute little cabin but the microwave kept tripping the breaker. The staff apologized and moved us to another and it was an upgrade. We were happy with the original but this was a great surprise.
