“The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable so those were highlights but it was not worth the money. It is advertised as a hotel, but it is very clearly a motel on the side of route 9. The cottages in the back seem to be the place to stay instead; however, when we booked I didn’t realize that the 2 different hotel names were actually the same property. “Avondale is in a great location, right across from the promenade and beach -- and within easy walking distance of the Washington Street Mall and other attractions. The room was clean and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well and was quiet.”
