"I had the MOST dreamy stay. I loved everything about my accommodation - it was historic but tidy! The decorations, the tub, the shower, the king size bed, the balcony, the decor, the decanter with sherry and fresh applecake.. it was literally a dream come true. The hostess and staff were VERY kind people and the breakfast was lovely as well. Everything was quiet and air conditioned and perfect."

"Great historic property near downtown Edenton. Greeted by inn keeper and shown to our nicely appointed second floor room.Walked to our supper a couple blocks away close to the riverfront. Recommend for couples or single travelers. Excellent breakfast included."

Super convenient to some great downtown restaurants and Biltmore. Only down side is it's off a busy road--and you will hear traffic noise. But don't let that deter you. "

"Gourmet breakfast and mid-afternoon cookies or other sweet treats were amazing! Friendly staff, but did not replace room with fresh washcloths and hand towels each day. My husband had to call and get some from the main house upstairs. (We were in a room that wasn’t in the main part of the house.) Loved sitting on the front porch swing! "

"The Henderson is a very charming and rustic place to stay. It is in a great location and is very convienent to the local shops, restaurants and pubs. The host and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They provide two choices for breakfast each morning. The meals are delicious. "A unique and very comfortable place to stay in Rutherfordton, NC during IEA National Jumper Championship. Super convenient on-street parking and very comfortable beds. Very close to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The old updated municipal center made for a very interesting Inn and a nice tour by Mary, the Inn Keeper.
