"My stay at Riu Montego Bay was fun overall. The resort was clean, the staff was absolutely amazing, and I had a great time. The one thing I felt was missing was a stronger Jamaican experience. Many people travel to Jamaica to enjoy the local culture, and I think the resort could do more to showcase it. For example, I would have loved to hear more reggae and Jamaican music throughout the resort. Even at the White Party, most of the music played was American. I also would have liked to see more authentic Jamaican food options. At breakfast, I was hoping for traditional items such as fried dumplings and ackee and saltfish, but the menu mostly featured foods I can easily get at home, such as eggs, bacon, and French toast. I understand that Riu is an international resort that caters to guests from all over the world, but at times it felt a little too Americanized. During my trip, I found myself leaving the resort every day to experience more of the local Jamaican culture, food, and atmosphere. That said, I still enjoyed my stay and appreciate the hard-working staff who helped make the trip enjoyable. With a few more authentic Jamaican touches, I think the experience would be even better."

"Great spot ! Staff very friendly and kind and accommodating I was looking for a trip where I don’t have to think too much and the kids entertained and fed w out me planning. It all worked out well here! Activities at night both family and for adult reggae bands , beach party, white party, and dance parties - jerk chicken hot grill delicious everyday Food plenty and huge variety culturally and fruit and desserts. Breakfast buffet the best The sit down restaurants a bit underwhelming- Italian restaurant my fam thought was best Outdoor pools, beach lounge area and water slides are great - rec t shirt for water slides no Matt’s and skin on back can get scratches Also would love if the resort can provide more shade for sunbathing and lounging by the pool at the activity pool and beach chair lounge options w or shade - winds were high most of the ( red flag) so prob why no umbrellas in beach but can try an alternative Sun was intense in May and diff to find an umbrella unless come out at 10 am . Having said that the place was not overly crowded in May ! We would come back for sure. Other than that everting was perfect !"

"My credit card is as billed for double booking . I need my credit card refunded for this amount. $414. Hotel kept blaming Expedia . However I used hotel.com . Please credit my account back asap . This was a birthday present from my husband and was trying to get this resolved the whole day . Ruined my birthday."

"I ’ve stayed here 4 times and still very happy! Pleaseeeeeeeee however keep the AC low ! I was sweating up a storm at night !! ( you can adjust it but you’d have to keep adjusting it throughout the night )"
