Bathroom was clean with terrible towels. Breakfast was good. Room had strong odor and a/c was non functional. Our room had blood smears above the bed and there appeared to be mold under the wallpaper in other spots.

We recently stayed at the West Gate overnight as we were in the area for a concert. Staff were very helpful and friendly, however, the property itself looks as though it hasn't had any updates since the 90s. Walls and doors are dingy and dirty, the bedding/sheets had stains, the TV remote didn't work, the room had a musty smell, and the outdoor stair treads with held on with duct tape. Though I read that the breakfast received good reviews, I found it to be on par with a typical continental breakfast - definitely not restaurant quality. All-in-all, the beds were comfortable enough and it was sufficient as a less expensive place to crash for the night.

While somewhat outdated, this motel is spotlessly clean with a generous breakfast, great location, lots of parking, and at a fair price.

The motel is an older one. The bathroom was small. The toilet was small and low to the floor. The room was average. Wi-Fi was very weak. Parking was great snd no additional cost. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Sevice was excellent from the front desk to housekeeping. Rooms are VERY outdated, which i don't really care about if it was "retro", but everything is very worn & torn & looks like they haven't been updated since 70s/80s. Mattresses definitely need replacement. Very worn & springy. The blower for ac/heat in my room was barely blowing, even on "high", & we had no hot water in our room. After informing the front desk, they did take care of both issues right away. Rooms are very clean though, & housekeeping even sweeps the staircases & balconies. Bottom line, the owner needs to sink some $$$ in updating the place. But if ur looking for a fairly inexpensive, clean, bare bones motel, then this is the place. It seemed to be located in a safe area, & very close to everything...Main St Nyack, the Thruway, Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown.

Good value … a clean, comfortable room with a good shower. The breakfast, including eggs, bacon and French toast, was a real plus. No frills, but beyond adequate for an overnight stay.

The rooms themselves were fine. The outside of the property was rundown and shabby: stair runners taped on and paint peeling off trim various areas. Breakfast included and was good.

The lobby and restaurant were very nice. The landscaping was pretty as was the atrium and hallway. The staircase was gorgeous. As for the room, it was clean. Due to thunderstorms the TV was down. The rooms need a major update. It looked like it was from the late 60's. The restaurant had character but was only open for breakfast. Not sure I would ever stay there again.

Basic, clean, well-located motel. The best: helpful desk clerk, cheerful cleaning staff. The worst: USB bedside connections didn’t work, although the desk ones did. An oily, off-tasting breakfast served cafeteria style by grimly unsmiling staff.

The front desk staff was cordial and accommodating, I could park right in front of my room, the air/heat worked well, the fridge and microwave worked well, the bathroom was clean with good water pressure and hot water, and the hot breakfast is unmatched by any motel at this price. Oh, and the bed was firm for my rapidly-aging back!
