Hotel location was ok, the kitchen was good and the staff were co-operative; the rooms and toilets were not clean, Brocken floor tiles, wall tiles with stains, additional blanket provided was not clean.

Zimmer benötigen mehr Pflege
Das Hotelzimmer hatte nur 1 funktionierende Steckdose im Bad, im Schlafzimmer waren alle 3 STeckdosen defekt. Dementsprechend konnten weder Mini-Kühlschrank (der sehr dreckig innen war) noch TV betrieben werden. Schimmel an Vorhängen und Silikondichtung der Badewanne war voll verschimmelt. Waschbecken-Abwasserrohr tropfte, musste Bad-Mülleimer unterstellen, damit Bad nicht unter Wasser stand. Wir haben wegen dem Schimmel an der Dusch/Badewanne nicht geduscht, uns nur am Waschbecken gewaschen. Der BAdvorleger war sehr abgenutzt, sah mehr nach zerfranstem Wischlappen aus. Feuchtigkeit schlägt an Fensterscheiben nieder (Einfachverglasung). Dementsprechend war da Zimmer feucht und das Bett klamm. Die Matraze war die härteste, die wir in unserer 23-tägigen Indienreise hatten. Insgesamt das enttäuschendste Hotel auf unserer Reise. Die MÄngel konnten durch den freundlichen Service und das passable Essen nicht wettgemacht werden. Restaurant hat Charme einer Bahnhofshalle. Die Landschaft ist schön, jedoch spielte der benachbarte Tempel morgens und abends über Lautsprecher stundenlang laute Musik ab. Also nicht mit der angepriesenen "ruhigen Lage" des Hotels. Dem MAnagement muss dringend empfohlen werden, Renovierungsarbeiten vorzunehmen. Evtl. auch Anbringung von Fliegengittern, da beim Lüften Motten und Käfer eindringen können.

When I look up accommodation on the internet, I'm often skeptical the photos will match the reality but with Mount 'n' Mist I wasn't disappointed! The views are specky!!! The location is nicely out of town, on the side of a hill next to a pretty little village, overlooking agricultural land. Very serene. Access is not a problem as a government bus drops you within 100 m of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and added character (and prepared yummy food). Ravi (the owner), very kindly dropped us back into town in his own car on our last day. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Very average stay
Went based on the trip advisor comments, but thought the place was overrated. The rooms were spacious, but not very well maintained. (Water leakage marks on the bedroom from the bathroom next to it..) Food was good. We didn't really have any kind of service to speak of. Place and staff seemed disorganized. Also, the Mount n Mist website was misleading. There were no games (Chess, table tennis, Snooker etc.) as advertised. There was a carrom board dumped in the reception area, but not much else to speak of. Just a heads up to people expecting an arcade room! Overall, just an average stay & will not be revisiting.

Myself, my wife, my 8 month baby along with family members had been to ooty last week for vocation and With the lots of ambuity we booked this resorts through online, that to after the reviws in the site, our ambuity were all thrown out of our mind after we reched over there, it was great location to stay. Actually We have booked standard double rooms, hotel authotiries had upgraded our rooms to family suites, we were so happy, rooms were so clean, tidy very neat, very well maintained, especially bath rooms were so clean, you know still I recall fragnance inside the rooms, sercice was extradinary, marvaloues, staff were very patient very humble, thats what everybody prefers as an outsiders, Hotel management was ourstanding with respect to the way the treated, guieed for site seeings. Food was good, breakfast was very nice and tasty. Oots of things are there to share, in summary we were so happy that we stayed here, and would prefer to be there during comming visits to ooty,ii strongly recommend this resort for ur comfortable stay.

Peaceful and pretty
Attractive hotel and lovely location. Nice large room and very comfortably furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful, but restaurant a little disorganised once or twice Excellent food though. I misread the info and thought the rooms had fireplaces. Ours didn't and it did get quite cold at night. There were a couple of firepits in the grounds which could be lit though. Great place to stay if you'd rather not be in town.
