3/5 - Okay
Not good dining choices. Blue Spruce Saloon was "quaint" and interesting but we didn't like the food. My daughter and family ate at the pizza place but don't know what they thought of the food.

The place was perfect. The only mistake was booking it through Hotels.com.

Clean room and excellent house keeping service! The gas stove top was a great plus! We made delicious steaks and our anniversary getaway was such a great time at the Packwood Lodge and Cabins.

Stopped for the night before heading to Rainier the next day. Clean room, comfy beds & blankets, nice hot shower.. all that we needed for a one night stay really. Though there is no elevator, if that’s something you’re needing (we didn’t need, but good to know).

Would suggest a screen door for the back so you can let in fresh air and not the bugs.

Small town but great for staying a few nights to go skiing.
Lots of new businesses since our last visit.
Was a nice place. Lack of places to eat would be my biggest concerns. And there really isn't any place within easy driving distance.
Sleepy hiker town with some charm. Dinner at Blue Spruce Tavern (average) and Packwood Brewing (excellent).
Good brewery. Convenient grocery. Good distance to Mt Rainier N P
