โGood bed, good sized shower, good breeze through the window. The breakfast hours are too early nd too short, and you apparently have to reserve a table for dinner, but they do room service and it was quick and delicious. They desperately need WiFi extenders.โ
โThis beautiful old hotel has been kept in excellent condition with tasteful modernizations. Shower was super with lovely fluffy towels! Beautiful countryside setting.
Staff are friendly and helpful :) And the dinners were delicious. โ
โRoom was pleasant, the bed was very comfortable & with lovely soft pillows.
Towels were soft with a very pleasant smell that filled the bathroom. Only small complaints was the lack of Decaffeinated coffee & tea sachets, which you now expect in most establishments. Also the small TV was stuck in the corner of the room, but this only a minor problem.
The staff were pleasant & chatty & the breakfast was very nice.
This is a very nice guesthouse in a nice area, with several self-catering cottages...
โIt was cheap - you get what you pay for. Shared bathroom and kitchen, which was expected based on price and photos, but not clear in details and another guest hadnโt assumed this and caused a big scene on check in. Wasnโt dirty, but could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy, but sheets smelt damp. Air con didnโt work in our room or another room that was empty. Free parking. Walking distance of the town centre which has takeaways. Kinda average stage. But cheapest aroundโ
โHad a lovely stay at the hut. Cosy and everything you needed. Just my dog and I and it was very comfortable. On a lovely property with alpacas. Shared grounds which were great for my dog to explore too. I would book again. โ
โLocation is great for the town and if you cant find any parking on the street there is a carpark about 5min walk away @ ยฃ3 - 24hrs.
Property is currently up for sale and needs a little work but the bathroom and kitchen are relatively new and everything else has had a lick of paint just needs a bit of modernising and the garden needs work and isnt secure at the back meaning the dog needed to be let out on a lead every time but did us for the short break we had.โ
โThe cottage is lovely and comfortable and well equipped for a family of 4. The small holding that it was on is located in a nice little village with a great pub a couple of doors away. The children loved having the alpacas close by and would go and visit them every morning.
Beds were comfortable, the shower was nice and powerful. We would definitely stop again if we were visiting the local area. โ
โParking space unavailable for whole stay, property mostly clean but some sofa cushions stained, mattress old and saggy. Main issue was noise from upstairs flat. Tv far too loud plus music, sounded like a herd of hobnailed elephants were marching across every time someone moved!โ
