Had an awesome weekend getaway in Vermont. Totally recommend Sun Lodge if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with a great tavern during stick season.

It’s probably a totally different experience for skiers- seems convenient for skiing. For summer travelers, you have to drive to get anywhere (including to hiking). No town, restaurants or shops within walking distance.
The feel of the small community and its general store/restaurant. Also the history and hiking in the Hapgood National Forest. Knowing it was the first bit of land bought up to make the national forest in that section of Vermont.
