โTerrible experience, driving deep into nowhere, very narrow half made up road, soi dogs everywhere, group of local men drinking alcohol in the parking area. Not a safe place. Do what we did, and drive away.โ
โThis is my second visit to Cattaniโs Riverside Home. Itโs a unique property, but itโs absolutely stunning and amazing. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Cattani and her staff are amazing. The property is stunning, and each time I have used a tuk tuk to travel around the sights of Ayutthaya, before returning to the tranquil surroundings of Cattaniโs riverside home. I tried the Japanese house with riverside balcony this time and I loved it. Iโll be back, I love this place and you will too.โ
โArrived hot and dirty after long ride. No water in the room. Can't buy a beer in the restaurant or even at the 7-eleven in the adjacent shopping area. Restaurant closes 7:30. If you want a drink you need to buy it at the steakhouse at the other side of the property and bring it in.โ
โThese are basic accommodations but they are priced as such. They were comfortable. They are well located if you are interested in the Wats of Ayutthaya. Staff was friendly. Parking available. Overall this is a great option for those who want to be budget minded and want to be in the heart of historic Ayutthaya. โ
โWe stayed one night at Roymen, wish we had more time to spend here. This is a beautiful property, very quiet and tranquil. The owner was so friendly, hospitable and accommodating, arranged a tuk tuk for us in no time! She tried helping me with a train ticket issue I was having. She provided us with a coffee and light snack to choose from for breakfast which was delicious. The air conditioning and water pressure was great. Would highly recommend this place. โ

I recommend you boom a Tuk Tuk via the reception for the temple tour - itโs the same price and will save you a walk and scouting for a driver โ
