Friday night stay
Check in OK shown to room, clean room but over noisy people coming in to hotel during the night. Otherwise fine but couldn’t change TV channel because batteries flat in remote.
The room was really small. Should be sold as a single not a double because with two people in the room it’s too small.
Bathroom a good size but felt very damp.
Moving toilet seat which also had a chip on it.
Only one window which is in the bathroom.
Damp smell in the room. The small double bed was so hard, if there was room it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. Took ages to check in as the poor girl in the pub had to do everything from serving drinks serving food as well as checking in guests. I would not stay here again.
Position was good room access was average as long as no disabilities the room it’s self was basic and the furniture and decor was tired in the toilet there was a wood panel adrift which could be hazard when checking out could get into pub to leave keys or review other than that it was basic somewhere to put or heads.
Great pub atmosphere with delicious meals and good service. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit disappointing as the shower was ridiculously small, the shower door opens inwards and was very difficult to close the door whilst in it. Bit odd that Breakfast isn’t served until 10.00am.

tatty & small bath room but the pub is in a v/good position
The staff of the pub are very helpful and the location is great. There is a discounted on-street parking (if you’re lucky enough to find a space). Nice secure rooms and hot shower. Plumbing can be a bit noisy. Expect some noise from the pub below which stops just after midnight.
Plymouth is a lovely place, but room not so nice, shower curtain moldy, taps broken. Lovely balcony view but struggled to close and open curtains.

Very disappointed
We arrived and there was zero parking anywhere. The young woman who showed us to our room told me where to park. I then received a ticket. The hotel has not responded to my emails regarding this incident. They also didn’t help carry bags through the narrow hall and up three narrow sets of stairs.
Clean room with park view and excellent location. Great staff welcoming us. We had late lunch in the nice restaurant.

We were in room 1 which had its own balcony with a great view over to the Hoe and Smeatons Tower. It was wet so we didn’t use it but it’s sizeable with table and chairs. Parking right outside the door with £5 charge for overnight permit which was useful. Easy access to town and Hoe/Barbican. Six foot bed, firm as mentioned in other reviews. Take earplugs as room is above bar and can be noisy until the bar closes. Characterful pub too.

Would recommend this dog friendly pub.
Very friendly, helpful, staff. Easy check in. Hotel offers permits to park your car on road outside for £5 per day. Dog friendly. Nice food served in the pub. Only thing I would say is that the beds were uncomfortable and as the walls were thin you could here noise from other rooms. I would overall recommend the Pub On the Hoe. Location fantastic for a stay in Plymouth.
