"Jungala was an excellent family stay. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful staff. We really loved our time with our 3.5 year old and 11 month old, and the staff were so kind and helpful with our boys."
Senses Riviera Maya Oceanfront Boutique hotel - Adults only
6/10 Okay
"The bar service, housekeeping, and dining staff were phenomenal, and the property was kept very clean. The view from our balcony and the soaking tub were wonderful, and the beds were incredibly comfy. We also really enjoyed the poolside daybeds and easy access to the bar.
However, we chose this hotel specifically to film content. We planned for rooftop sunset drinks in the jacuzzi, romantic mimosas in our balcony plunge pool, and shots on the beach swing. That would have been dope, right? WRONG. The jacuzzies were never filled, and despite asking directly, our private plunge pool was never filled either. The infinity pool had damaged tiles that crumbled when you sat or walked, and the social media swing was unavailable. Even the "beach access" required scaling mossy rocks to the property next door.
The food was good, though "all-inclusive" is cruise-style: you sit and order each course, no buffet, no taking food to the room, and room service has a fee. But definitely try the fish taco! I would stay again if the amenities were updated—and maybe even if I had just known what I was actually getting. It’s a great vibe, but a major disappointment when you've planned your filming around features that don't exist."
"Best resort shower ever!!!.Instant hot water.
Plenty of seats at beach and pool.. gotta mark territory early...food at buffet average..seafood/Mexican restaurant very good."

"The resort was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The bellman even remembered who we were after one time ( he took our luggage to room). This was our second time staying there."
Palafitos Overwater Bungalows, All & More Inclusive - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"The hotel is nice, but I wouldn’t visit again. The bungalows are dated and the water below is murky and filled with seaweed. We couldn’t use the beach, because of the seaweed. They were working hard to try and remove it, but it didn’t work.
The food is delicious, but the menu doesn’t change much, so after 3 days, we were bored with the food options.
There were ants in our room, so we called the front desk and they sent someone to spray the room. The fumes caused me to itch all over, so that was stressful and unfortunate.
They don’t offer many activities. A DJ at the pool would be nice.
Overall, it was a very quiet vacation, but not worth the hefty price. "
"Staff was rude and no guidance which having different bracelets gives you access to different amenities and I was a Villa which I was told by my concierge that I could be any part of the property they kick me out of the Platinum bar for having a black bracelet. Second, the Buffet staff told us to look for a table and when we found a table which was not clean from the people that where just finished eating the staff said they couldn’t clean it that would take more than 30 to clean it. Main lobby staff were the most Rude people. Good thing I can say about the Resort is that the rooms are very nice and spacious nothing bad about the cleaning staff or the bartenders."
