"It was decent"

"When booking with Expedia, you have to be very careful as to the room that you book. I booked a deluxe queen room and in the picture and description it was a large room. When we arrived they told us that they could do an early check in andasked us if it was just the two of us which we agreed, and we were given an extremely small room actually, the smallest washroom I’ve ever seen out in a hotel. When our friends checked in and booked after us with our information and the same type of room, they receive the type of room that we had seen online and actually booked when I complained to the hotel saying this was unfair. They told me they didn’t have one available and therefore couldn’t move us. It was very disappointing that we paid the same price and we were in a room that was 1/3 the size. They also added the excuse that the rooms vary in this hotel under that room category. I don’t think that any customer should pay the same price for a room. That’s basically a birdcage compared to the other room. How do we not have this very poor experience, but could not be resolved to any satisfaction then I probably would’ve given this property a five star rating. The valet staff and housekeeping were amazing."

"This hotel is no-frills for sure. It’s great if you are looking for a place to lay your head, but nothing else. It is very clean, quiet and in a great location. The staff was also very friendly. The only negatives were: no fridge in the bedroom, no vending machines onsite and a really small bathroom. These are all things easily overlooked for the price and location. I would stay here again."

"Nice and quiet. Small rooms and much older hotel, but some rooms may be bigger if you pay more I’m not sure. It does show some signs of aging but that didn’t bother me at all. The breakfast good quality and all I need. All the options were fairly healthy although they ran out of boiled eggs quick every morning! Free coffee always ready whenever, love that. They also did a free wine hour from 6-7p, which was just nice to have offered. Staff were professional and personable. I probably won’t stay anywhere else in DC due to my recent experience with them. Not worth having a bad experience somewhere else when I know this place is exactly what I want."

"Room was clean. TV didn’t have great connection, tried to watch the Stanley Cup playoff game and it cut out frequently. "

"Great location. Has a nice size of common kitchen. Large room to hang out after check out time. Very basic room. Fancy dormitory and expensive."
