"The attached restaurant was also nice. My only issues was the price of the motel style room. The location was great and peak season. I get it. Just seemed a little high. Otherwise special and I’d go back"
"Nice room, convenient and proximate property to town. A little scuffed up in spots but overall terrific staff and vibe. Couple door handles were dangling by a thread and a few broken items (window shade, closet door). Cost to repair, less than 15 minutes and $50. The only reason for a less than perfect review."
"Hotel front desk members were amazingly friendly and helpful with recommendations while in Newport and hospitality during our stay. Our room with a marina view was great. Things of note: a very comfortable bed, hot shower with good water pressure, plenty of usb outlets, blackout curtains, and plenty of space for both my husband and I to spread out our bags. Love the ease and convenience of valet parking with in and out privileges as parking is at a premium in Newport in July. The location, decor, and setting of the Hammetts Hotel makes for a delightful getaway. Looking forward to staying here again."
"This was our second stay and we loved all the updates, staff and amenities. Susan and Christine and everyone at the front desk were beyond helpful and the view as well as location is hands down the best. We loved the seating outside and use of the premises before you check in. They do not charge for parking or an extra car which was a plus and even though there was an issue with our Expedia booking in their platform when we arrived, Susan fixed it which was a huge relief. I highly recommend it for families or couples. Close to Watch Hill, Town of Westerly and great places to eat in the area that you need reservations for so plan ahead. You can go for a walk on the main road to find a lot of places to eat which is nice too. The bar on premises is convenient and the pool was a really nice option for us to use as well. They also provide beach towels which I forgot. So no need to bring those it comes with the resort fee. The only recommendation I have is not to put double beds up against the wall and to buy bigger fitted sheets that popped off a lot. A must stay!"
"The Wayfinder was a nice choice for our family. Nice outdoor pool with a snack/drink bar. They had a restaurant and a little side shop for coffee and snacks. There was a shuttle to take us to and from town which was great! Always communicated times via text msg. Free bike rentals! Couple of things that sucked, shower had hair in the drain, my husband grabbed it out lol, no big deal. We didn’t have our towels replaced we stayed 2 nights. I know we could have asked but assumed it would have been done. Other than that, yes we would return, yes family friendly."
