“The place itself was immaculate. However the moment we checked in we went to the spa where the cryotherapy was broken and we couldn’t order any refreshments as the lady said she couldn’t leave her post. We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities.”

“Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area.”

“The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area.”

“Well positioned a short way up a small hill. Nice tasty meals. However the outside of the shower tray needed a deep clean and our room only had a skylight window which resulted in it being very warm, even at night, in the high temperatures.”

“We loved staying here between our visit to Oxford and Bath. The house was very comfortable and gave us the feel for the Cotswolds even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was hospitable. The price of our May stay was extremely affordable and we feel we got our money’s worth by far. We just loved this place!!”

“I had a truly exceptional stay at The Snooty Mehmaan. The experience began even before I arrived, thanks to a thoughtful courtesy call to confirm my check-in. Upon arrival, I was greeted with genuine warmth, and the staff kindly escorted my luggage to a room that was both stunning and impeccably clean. The highlight, however, was the evening meal. “Das gesamte Team von Mason Arms war extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat praktisch jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Das Essen (Frühstück & Abendessen) war sehr lecker. Wir würden es eindeutig weiter empfehlen. Falls man eine Kleinigkeit kritisieren möchte, wäre es, dass man bei der Buchung auf die Größe der Zimmer achten sollte. In unserem Zimmer hatten 2 Medium große Koffer gerade so Platz aufgeklappt zu liegen und das Zimmer war praktisch mit dem Doppelbett und einem kleinen Sessel...

“Das Hotel liegt mitten im Grünen und bei der Anfahrt über das Grundstück freut man sich schon auf die typisch britische, alte Hausanlage. Im Inneren des Hotels geht der äußere Flair leider etwas verloren, eher so 80er Jahre Style. Wir hatten jeder die preiswerteste Zimmer Kategorie gewählt, gute Matratzen, das Fenster ließ sich öffnen und super war auch das warme und sehr saubere Bad. ”

“Very dog friendly stay, dog allowed everywhere. Excellent crockery pitch across the small bridge for dog exercise and poo bin by entrance to hotel. Breakfast was great, though no cereal which was odd. Rooms well equipped, kettle and nespresso coffee maker, plus both still and sparkling water with fresh milk in the pantry (where there are also top ups of tea, coffee and water plus ice). Second time here and we'll be back again”
