The worst hotel experience due to extremely poor management and deceitful information at check in. At arrival, I inquired re changing rooms to pool or ocean views vs 2 rooms we had initially booked. I was clear that I would only upgrade if both rooms could be accommodated. For a substantial fee, we agreed to upgrade, expecting a pool view for the 4 night stay (1st room) and change to a Master suite, pool swim up/partial ocean view for 3 nights (2nd room). Upon arrival, the room w/ pool view didn’t have the “Privilege” upgrade we paid for, this was confirmed by staff tending the room. The first day/night, we did not have Privilege amenities, despite the additional charges. On the second day, leaving bags ready to be moved, we returned to find all luggage in the 2nd room which had not been moved to a Master suite. Upon inquiry at the lobby, in a wet bathing suit, after nearly two hours, and arguing with management, a PARTIAL refund was suggested. This conversation included the manager trying to feed words to the front desk person - in our presence - claiming the Master was a “favor” that was no longer available. Clearly, that was nonsensical because we PAID for it. We were expectedly upset, feeling deceived, dismissed, unaccommodated, ignored, and completely disrespected. The tone from management was unconscionable. I have no issue paying for services, but have issue with being made a fool, and then charged for it. The interactions with management staff overshadowed the stay.
