Wir waren etwas überrascht, da wir ein normale Hotel erwartet haben. Erstmal mußten wir die Rezeption finden. Der Koffer mußte einige Treppen hochgewuchtet werden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel gerade im Bad war es etwas schwierig sich zu rasieren oder meine Frau sich zu schminken. Die Lage ist natürlich Ideal! Zu allen Sehenswüdigkeiten 30 Miniten Fußweg. Man kann im Restaurant nebenan ein kostenloses Frühstück bekommen (Crousson und Orangesagt und Kaffee) Wir haben uns aber etwas Obst vom Markt direkt vor der Tür gekauft und dann im Zimmer gefrühstückt.

Big rooms for Rome standards. Tastefull style in the rooms. Good amenities. Staff was helpfull. very well located. I would say skip the breakfast: it is provided in the restaurant next to the property but really is not on par with the rest of the experience, I would advise on skipping it.

Really nice place , between two restaurants , nice food , nice people , but at night time , it’s quite loud, we could sleep anyways, with a 6 year old . It was a great experience

The staff are very courteous and helpful. The property is a wonderful combination of old style and modern design and convenience. The room amenities are very nice. The square is lively, but noisy until late in the evening. But what ambience. Wonderful.

The room is clean,modern and spacious. The check in was so easy( we arrived early but Miss Bella( I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong) allowed us to leave our bags in the room. It’s a beautiful setup.

Our stay at Mama's Home Rome was overshadowed by discomfort and poor guest interactions. The location is central, and the rooms are spacious, yet our experience was marred from the start. An urgent need to retrieve a bandage for our son, who hurt his hand at dinner, led to a bizarre confrontation next to our awkwardly placed room near the check-in desk. We were questioned and somewhat scolded by a woman, presumably an owner, for locking the lobby door—despite using the keys provided to us. Her confrontational stance, supported by a man appearing to be her partner, was confusing and unwelcoming. Furthermore, our room, while clean, was plagued by a persistent unpleasant paint odor and excessive noise from the street and other guests, disrupting our rest. Although we were initially greeted warmly, this encounter, coupled with the room's issues, soured our perception. Given these experiences, particularly when our concern was for our son's well-being, we find it hard to recommend Mama's Home Rome or consider returning.

Dearest, thank you for your review but frankly we don't understand what you said. no one informed us of what happened and we don't even understand how you could have smelled paint. furthermore, if problems occurred you could also contact us because at check-in we provided you with all our telephone contacts. and we remind you that we are available 24 hours a day. However, since we care about our guests, we have asked all the staff and we are not aware that you have interacted with any of us to highlight the problems we read about. We regret what was reported and will check further with our staff to understand what you stated.

What a great location!!!
After spending hours deliberating which hotel to stay in for a long weekend with my wife, I eventually settled on Mama’s Home as it appeared to be in walking distance of the main sites and met my criteria of being a nice hotel but not blowing the budget as I knew we’d spend very little time in the hotel. All I can say is what a location! Right on the square, full of amazing restaurants/bars with a daily market. The hotel itself is more like an aparthotel - as there are no facilities. Very friendly receptionist welcomed us on arrival day, checking via WhatsApp to see when we would arrive. Due to the age of building it has the world’s smallest lift. (2 people get to know each other very well indeed as you have to coordinate entering , shutting folding doors , pressing button and the reversing procedure to get out! Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door. Very friendly staff there as well. Recommend the ‘healthy’ breakfast and also the ‘American’ (which is really a lovely cooked breakfast full of Italian herbs - so should be renamed in my view as much nicer that described) I think they only have 5 rooms, so get in quick!! Our room was in top floor overlooking the square , so we could open the window and just watch the gentle hubbub at the end of busy day. Would recommend staying , just beware the lift feels as ancient as the main tourist sites!!

Die einzigartige Lage am belebten Campo dei fiori ist wunderbar, um schnell mitten im römischen Leben zu sein. Das Frühstück unmittelbar vor der Unterkunft ist ein guter Tagesanfang. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll gestaltet und wir wurden sehr freundlich von sehr netten Menschen empfangen.

Couples Valentine’s Getaway to Roma
We were really pleased with the location of the hotel, so convenient to get to different tourist attractions around the city and plenty of restaurants and cafés on the doorstep which is great. We were not best pleased about the stairs situation, there was a lift but it was tiny and climbing all the stairs to get to our room did start to take its toll on us eventually. Also, there was no air conditioning in the room; yes, it’s February but for us Brits Italy was still very warm and it was difficult to sleep because the window would have to be open to let cool air in but then it was also very noisy. It would be nice to have some soft seating too in the room to make it feel more comfortable; the only place to sit was on the bed.

Excellent location, very pleasant and helpful staff, good amenities, excellent wifi, however as noted by others very noisy with little sound insulation, so slept earplugs. Still would go back.

Was great up until the last night
Booked this property for 4 days and really loved the location ( right in the heart of the shopping and food). There are a lot of stairs in the building, and a very small elevator FYI for those with a lot of luggage. Pros Location Clean Good room Friendly staff Cons Lack of room lighting No cozy room feeling Receptionist wasn’t there 1/2 the time No place to put your things in the bathroom Walls are thin, you can hear people having sex Unfortunately, on my last night ( I was sick) I came back early only to hear people having sex upstairs. It was LOUD and I could hear EVERY single thing. On top of that, I heard it occur twice throughout the night and the woman crying at 3 AM. Worst sleep EVER and I’m still scarred. Walls are thin… I would recommend choosing a hotel instead.

Otelin konumu mükemmel..bütün turistik yerlere 20-25 dk yürüyüş mesafesinde. Otelin tabelası yok o yüzden bulmak biraz zamanımızı aldı sora sora bulduk. (Giganti cafenin yanından giriş) Enrica karşıladı bizi çok iyi birisi yardımcı oluyor. Oda genel olarak güzel tek sıkıntı banyo wc bölümü odayla arasında cam ve perde var. Birisi banyoyu kullandığında içeri çok ses geliyor ve perde tam kapanmadığından içerisi gözükebiliyor. Ama bizim için problem olmadı çünkü sadece uyumak için kullandık odayı. Otelde kahvaltı yok ama etrafta bir sürü alternatif var kahvaltı için. Mini barı dolu ve hergün yenilediler. Hergün odayı temizlediler. Herşey güzeldi memnun kaldık biz

I will only stay at Mama home every trip to Rome ! I can’t believe how beautiful the hotel was and convenient.. plus they supplied all our transfers to our cruise from the airport to the back to the hotel back to the airport.. very affordable, it felt like a five star hotel..

The property was in such a great location and we had such an amazing view of the town square from our room. Rooms were cleaned every day unless told otherwise and it was a perfect size for sleeping, we spent most of the day touring so didn't really need a room much for anything else. Also, breakfast everyday at the restaurant next door was so convenient. The only thing I would say is that the bathroom is kind of open. There's a curtain covering the bed from the bathroom but if you walk around the bed or from the entrance, you can see into the bathroom. Just something to be mindful of but not an issue honestly if you're comfortable with your roomies!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the breakfast provided next door was excellent. The location was central and easily walkable to many sites. It was helpful to have a working elevator since we were on the 3rd floor. The only suggestion we have is that the lighting in the room in which we stayed could be brighter, especially in the bathroom. Overall, we highly recommend Mama's Home Rome.

You can’t beat this location! Overlooking Campo di Fiori market! Night life is great with restaurants just below you. If you have any physical restrictions the 80 stairs to the top might be challenging! There is an elevator but it’s very tiny… we preferred taking the stairs. But in great area and location to everything.

Excellent location, market Square near to river
Fabulous vibrant spot,great district helpful staff. Cool interiors, large and comfortable bed. Despite being on a busy square Slept very well due to quiet room as at back and looked onto inner courtyard ( air con units ). Quite a few stairs to take up.cases.
