“The staff at Cassia Hill Resort are amazing. Two especially, Abby at the front desk and Carlos the security man were wonderful. Isabella in the restaurant is exceptional! The location is perfect for anyone wanting to do excursions from San Ignacio. The cabins are spacious and clean. The maintenance guys brought us fresh coconuts to drink and eat. Excellent place to stay. My daughter and I stayed 9 days and have great lifetime memories.”

“Cahel Pech is a great affordable option in San Ignacio. The pool setup is a fun amenity and meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel was happy to set us up with tours and local drivers too. On a Saturday night, the local town partied loudly until 3am but I can't really fault the hotel for that. The room could be improved with a new mattress and pillows. The view of the town is super nice and there's even a local bunny that is super friendly! Staff is top notch.”

“Nabitunich is a one of a kind property and staying here is an experience in itself. You are surrounded by nature on this family run farm. Seeing the toucans was a huge highlight for me. I learned a lot about the plants and trees on the farm during my tour with the owner Dominic. The little hill is perfect for watching the sunset. I ate dinner there each night. It’s good home cooking. Breakfast was also great. My room was very comfortable. All the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful...

“We liked the pool and pool bar on hot afternoons. We stayed in the cabins; the trees have bright lights at night. We did have a small room lizard, scorpion, and ants on different nights, but the staff quickly noted and fixed a running toilet issue.”

“Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time.”

“This place is great. My only negative is we were under the restaurant. So when it opens at 6:30am we hear all foot traffic. Other than that reception and grounds were excellent!”

“Was a wonderful experience. Concierges/staff really elevated the stay and the 24hour security was an extra comfort, especially as a solo female traveller. I felt everyone I interacted with took amazing care in what they did. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the private balcony with hammock was amazing for rainy weather. “The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. The wait staff were very friendly but not attentive, probably given the 15% service charge added to all bills so they don’t need to work for their tips like they would have to in other places. Prices for food is expensive - this is likely due to location & the fact this is a nice hotel. It also doesn’t help that they price everything in USD which is at odds with most other places in Belize. If you don’t have your own vehicle, it is difficult...
