San Luis Obispo, California hotel rooms at the Motel 6

"Property is going for an old-timey vibe, so if that's your thing you might like it. Furniture is dated but room was large and very clean. Bed was on the harder side. Now for my beef...they charge a "resort/amenities" fee, as if this were a resort. It is far from it. Do they give away "free" cookies and coffee and wine? Yes. Does this qualify it as a resort. Absolutely not. This is a slightly enhanced motel/motor inn. Parking should be free, as should the "free" cookies and beverages. "

"I highly recommend this hotel. Very new and fresh, rooms had everything you need. Spacious bathroom/shower. You won't be disappointed. Staff was extremely friendly!"

"warm and friendly staff welcomed us and got us checked in quickly. There were cookies and coffee in the lobby. our room seemed clean but very small. the microwave was a welcome addition I didn’t expect. no view but didnt need one. great pool and hot tub. included buffet style breakfast was fine. the waffle station was a a highlight for my son. the wifi was kind of slow and would cut out kind of frequently it wasnt useful for my purposes. but it was fine for streaming services. "

"Parking, AC, rooms all good. Staff very friendly and on top of things. Parking was great. If place had a pool it would be absolutely perfect...but for a pleasant stay it is a great motor lodge!"

"Rooms had zero noise isolation, and you could hear everyone in the hallway. It was difficult to get a good night's rest. The vending machine was not working. Although not dirty, it felt as if the room had seen many visitors. The sheets were old. Overall, we paid under $100 for a king bed, so we can't expect too much. For the price, it was a correct room if you are not picky."
