The room was fairly clean, the floor was pretty dirty. The hotel just look run down and shabby. The room or decently sized and it was someplace to sleep for the night. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good but the breakfast room is small and crowded. It is fairly close to the beach and Hearst Castle is just down the road. No one was at the desk when we arrived so we had to wait to check in and no one was there when we checked out so I can’t comment on the staff. Overall it was just okay.

We had a nice stay and highly recommend this hotel. It hits the sweet spot for comfort, convenience, and value. The complimentary breakfast is a definite plus—there was a great variety of hot and cold options, and the coffee was always fresh. The location is ideal, situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to beach and fine dining. Best of all, the rates are incredibly affordable for the quality you get. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. A very good find!

Room was remodeled and nice. Bathrooms not up safety standards. Wash clothes and towels were stained with black substance. Very gross. There was so much bleach left in the face towel that it burned my eyes. No elevators for my 84 year old aunt. We had to ask for another room on bottom floor. No ramp to get her luggage up to the bottom floor main entrance. Building structure needed serious repairs but was patched/painted over. Not what was expected from a Comfort Inn. I did enjoy the breakfast set up the following morning.

The first room we were supposed to be in was not cleaned and the bed was not made. The second room was okay except for food left in the fridge and there were empty ramen containers on the balcony. The room was clean and had the necessary amenities. There were no tissues and the kcups and sugar/creamer/stir stick packages were open and had missing components. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. It seemed the hotel was redone but never finished. We had a big gap at the bottom of our door and had to use a towel to make up for the gap.. Would I return to the hotel maybe only if there was no other vacancy.

The motel was a good location. 5 mins away from Hearst Castle. It looked like it was semi remodeled recently but it was cheaply done as you could see holes/patches. The bed was moderately comfortable not to firm but not as soft as I personally prefer. Bathroom cramped and they didnt have body wash only tiny soap bars that broke apart easily. No one answers the phone so the 3 things I needed help with I had to go out my room and go get myself, was not happy about that. Never got the room cleaned they just skipped it for some reason. Continental breakfast was toast, juice and yogurt. It did the job for what we needed it for but I may try another inn next time I am in the area. Not ADA friendly, there are stairs to go into the building.
