"DO NOT book at this hotel. Everything about it was terrible. We had to leave our 5 night booking we had reserved at Hotel Principe and move to another hotel it was so awful. When we arrived, I nearly tripped over the bulky. bunched up rug on the floor of the reception area (staff showed zero concern), the porter who took our suitcases up to our room was rough and nearly broke them and then told me “don’t worry, don’t worry” when I asked him to please be more careful. He also blabbed loudly on his phone inside the elevator. The room they gave us looked nothing like what was booked and had hair all over the bathroom floor, tiny paper cups for the coffee and awful rough sheets on the uncomfortable bed. The hallways smelt terrible and bags of laundry were left piled up everywhere from the time we arrived until the next day when we left. This is a rundown hotel that is not taking care of their guests and way overpriced for what you get. We lost a day in Venice because of this terrible place! Zero stars! "

"This property is beautiful, the staff are incredible and extremely helpful. This location is perfect for a stay in Venice. Close to restaurants, shops, etc. convenient to the water bus and a 15 minute walk to St Marks Square. Just be advised there is no elevator, so lots of stairs"
