Charming setting and good value

We had an excellent stay there and will visit again. It was a good value considering the other very overpriced hotels in Santa Cruz during high season. There was some road noise from the room but overall, the setting compensated for that aspect.

We were charged twice. Once from Expedia and again from Babbling Brook Inn. We tried to call Babbling Brook Inn but you can never get a hold of anyone. We tried to resolve the issue with Expedia but were told Babbling Brook Inn charged us a cancelling fee. We never cancelled and we stayed the night we reserved. The issue is still unsolved and we were charged twice. I would not stay here again nor would I would recommend it to anyone. Not customer friendly.

Charming and serene location with great views from the veranda. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The manager was also very generous and gave us a late checkout. Highly recommend this affordable option for Santa Cruz.

This place is a very unique place to stay. Very rustic. I liked it a lot. Check in was easy as well as check out. Did not have a mini frig or hair dryer. For some reason, we could not get the fireplace to work. Coffee on the balcony in the morning was nice. Great coffee and Keurig coffeemaker. Bottled water furnished as well as bath soaps and shampoos.

I liked the location and the room was clean and property is very quiet the brook winding through the inn is very nice. The only problem we had was checking out early. Staff doesn't tell you that you can just leave keys in room upon leaving. That would be useful information for anyone staying here.

An amazing find, clean, cozy and serene. The location was also perfect, near the action but tranquil at night. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to SC.

The property is unique and very quaint. They used to have a wonderful breakfast and evening drinks. That stopped with Covid sadly. There is no one on site, save for a housekeeper during the day. You have to get your key through a lock box. Property now looks worn and in need of upkeep, with bits of trash about on the grounds. The once beautiful planters are sparse. I hope it can get back to its former state. Santa Cruz is tough for hotels, very expensive and not a lot of quality. The pictures of the rooms are from many years ago. It’s just been neglected.
