"lovely stay directly across from the beach. Steep walk uphill to the main town and railway station but there was a regular bus service during the day. Inn is a busy restaurant but no late night noise. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room small but had everything that was needed. Included breakfast was perfect to set you up for the day"

"We booked a ‘comfort’ double room, it was smaller than we expected but fine for our short stay. The friendly staff and excellent breakfast made this a great trip and we would definitely return, although perhaps booking one of the larger rooms next time."

"Excellent location in Shanklin, a short distance walk from everything. We stayed during the peak of hot weather, so my only grumble is lack of some air con. Otherwise staff were friendly and breakfast was cooked well. Dog friendly and dog also enjoyed his stay and sausage at breakfast!"

"A very well run hotel with most aspect being excellent. Clean, comfortable room, decent crockery and consistent food quality. Very few negatives but the stairs carpet could have seen service in Pompeii, it was that old and seemingly dirty. A lift would be nice in a 5 story hotel but may be difficult given the age and design of the building. Overall, a lovely stay"

"A modern and exceptionally clean hotel. The breakfast is excellent. With beach and old town mins away we were disappointed to find that we needed to use the car as hotel situated on the top of a hill. Buses and taxis were available and we would stay there again."

"Very spacious, we had 2 armchairs in our room but there was a lounge and conservatory to use. The breakfast menu had a big choice. The garden was good to sit in with plenty of seating and you could help yourself to beverages and biscuits in the lounge. David and Rosemary are so nice and also Josie who helps them. Highly recommended."
