"A lovely hotel in the perfect location with helpful, pleasant staff. The rooms however are tired and need an update to reflect the downstairs of this hotel. The shower has no pressure, the toilets are run on a very noisy macerater and generally the rooms require a total refurb which i understand from the new Managers is in hand. "

"Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy."

"What a fantastic hotel. Had a lovely room overlooking the sea. Hotel was extremely clean, food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and also access to the sister hotel next door. What more A lovely place to stay in Shanklin. "

"Really nice staff - friendly and helpful. Location is good - right across from the beach so you can hear the sound of the sea from the bedroom. Room itself is tired and could do with an update. No locker on one side of the bed. The use a macerator in the bathrooms so it makes a loud noice when you flush the loo or empty a basis. We had no hot water when we were there. We were not told this but found out when we heard a staff member telling another guest. Breakfast is OK if you like the Full English or a variation of it but no fruit, cereal or yoghurt. Parking is on the street and requires payment"
