"We had a lovely time at Umi Hotel, location was a bit remote but was good, staff was wonder but they were doing a bit of construction but honestly didn't impact our stay at all. great breakfast spread every morning too."

"This was a great place with one (significant) drawback. The water in the shower was very low pressure and variable down to no flow at all at times 🙁 Other than that, the room was very comfortable and it is in a great location. It is pricey and breakfast at $32 per person is steep, but that seems pretty standard in this part of Iceland at this time of year."

"My friend and I chose this location because of how close it is to some waterfalls, but we never choose rooms without bathroom, it's inconvenient, but even it was very convenient for our route. No outlets in room though, which is completely annoying."

"My partner and I stayed here for one evening. It’s comfortable and convenient for travellers passing thru. It’s a good place for solo travellers and partners. Easy to find, this one almost had a bit of a hostel vibe to it. We had bunk beds. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook, a fridge where you can store your food. Shared bathrooms but there are multiple, all clean. The property is well maintained and though there wasn’t any staff to greet us, they gave us easy instructions for our check in. The area is beautiful and there is also a restaurant across the street which was convenient, cute and full of history. Thank you for the great and easy stay!"

"I was very nervous about the check in process, considering the other reviews posted. We had no issues at all. There was a code sent to us, the lobby was unlocked (and unstaffed) and the lockbox with our room key opened easily. The lobby and rooms were beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. A couple of things to note: First, Hotels.com says that late check-in is after 11 pm. The company emailed us to tell us late check-in stops after 9 pm the same day as our check-in. We had already planned on arriving past nine, hence my anxiety about it. I called the number provided at least 10 times between 4 pm-9 pm and no one ever picked up. This is aligned with other people's experiences, so buyer beware. You will be stuck if they don't email you the code. Second, once we got in the room, there were other numbers available to try to call. I tried to include the numbers but I was not allowed. If you get stuck and don't have the code, hopefully one of your fellow travelers will provide you with the other contact info that is in the room. Hotels. com really should make these available. Finally, don't rely on the hot tub being available/functional (it was lukewarm and the next day the drained it to clean it). The breakfast spread was very similiar to another location where we stayed (multiple bread/pastry products, some meat items, cheese) so I was expecting to have to substitute my own items because I have dietary restrictions but what was available that I could eat was good."

"this was the perfect stop for my husband, and I, so unique, everything was clean, the staff was Pleasant, it even had its own kitchen!. The hot tub was an extra added touch! So was the waterfall in the back in the dogs greeted you! Perfect!"

"A great little place and beautiful location. The bed takes up most of the space in the bedroom, so kind of hard to get around. Bathroom towels were rough and water pressure was poor. Suitcases have to go on the lounge floor. BUT a beautiful view and we very much enjoyed staying here."
