Classic vintage motel in a lovely resort town. Very comfortable beds, super clean & cozy room. Location was quiet, nice seating area for guests on the lawn. Owner was warm, friendly & went out of her way to make up for a glitch in our Expedia reservation. Definitely recommend & hope to return for a longer stay on future trip!

We stayed at the Picket Fence for 4 nights. Sue and her husband were great host and showed a lot of pride in their property. We felt very safe and relaxed at the Picket Fence. Although it is an older building it is well maintained and very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

The host, Sue, could not have been more gracious and informative about things to do in St Andrews. The room is basic and clean with an updated bathroom. It was smaller than I expected The real downside was the odour. Not dirty but damp & musty. It was really off putting for me.

Our second one-nighter at the Picket Fence. Excellent service, warm welcome, and a comfortable room. Will return next time we're in St. Andrews.

Bel emplacement. On peut prendre l’apéro dans la cour. Chambre un peu chargée mais fonctionnelle. Accueil chaleureux. J’y retournerais!

A notre arrivée nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement. Notre chambre était très propre et confortable. On nous a mentionné les endroits à visiter etc.. Ce motel est situé pas très loin de la mer. Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour et nous y retournerons certainement.

It is an older motel, but it was clean, newly painted, smelled good, beds were excellent. It was a quiet evening and the guest gather on the lawn under the apple trees and talked to each other.

Stay here! You'll love it!
Loved this place. Susan was a welcoming host and took care of us from even before we arrived with a call to check that we were on our way (Digby ferry ran a little late). She gave us a recommended route across the border for the following morning. We were sorry we didn't have time to stay another day and explore. The beds were the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed in the Maritimes on our ten day journey.

Excellent stay.
Great location, the room was big, clean, big bathroom, all the necessities provided. Sue, the host, was the most amazing and kind host yet. Because we were running late, she called us first to make sure we are okay, and secondly to advise us to stop somewhere on the way to have dinner before checking in, as all the restaurants in the area were already closed. Upon our arrival she was welcoming, made us feel important and valued. We were there one night only.
