“For an expensive hotel, the bathroom was very dated, tired and in desperate need of updating. The enamel on the bath was gone meaning it was stained pretty bad, the grout around the outdated tiles had been painted white. The bedroom had been painted poorly and was very plain and in need of updating, as are the furniture. The room would have been ok if the price had been around £50 p/n. The main communal areas were very nice, the corridors had radiators hanging off the wall with brown stains on...

“Didn’t like being allocated a room for the disabled with an adjoining door, on the ground floor. Not what we paid for. Were then offered an attic room with a skylight type window, you couldn’t see out and it was dark. They then managed to jiggle things around and we had a decent room, the sort we expected. Didn’t use most of the facilities as we were there for a wedding near by but we did eat in the bar area. Food menu was limited and so were the cocktail choices. Don’t know about the restaurant...

“The parking was good, always available . The room was pleasant. The food was good. The problems were - the position on a hectic main road, I didn’t see it mentioned on there review. The heat, though the weather was not hot you could barely open the windows and then had to shut them because of the noise of the traffic and then there was black mold on the bottom of the shower. The staff were pleasant though breakfast was not explained very well!”
