Our room didn't look like the pictures, but we managed. The staff was very nice and the valet was so quick! Robie's, the restaurant in the hotel, was delicious and the drinks (and the bartender) were excellent! We were only there for the weekend, so our room only needed cleaned once. We got back to no bath towels, one hand towel, and someone's half drank water bottle. The trash was taken out but there was still a used coffee cup on the counter. It was very odd. Not sure if housekeeping was called away and just never came back? We also tried to order breakfast for our last morning there, but the card we left on the door (per the instructions and before 2am) was never picked up. For the price we paid, we probably won't stay here again, but we still had fun.

I stayed 2 nights for an event in the city. The first desk lady only spoke at a whisper and was incredibly difficult to hear, and was generally rude. Once I got to my room I saw it was not the one that I thought I was getting as the pictures had shown a couch and a view across the road. I had no couch, and was placed at the back of the building which is about 5 feet away from another building. Self parking around the corner is horrible and run by a lady that was so rude i thought about getting a new hotel. It was also $35 per night and not on-site like it was advertised. So I ended up opting for valet parking so that I wouldn't have to deal with it. When I left the hotel they sent two seperate valets to get my car and neither of them could figure out how to put the car into reverse (its a standard car). So I paid $100usd for 2 nights of valet and I had to drive my own car out of the garage. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience. Every interaction with hotel staff was negative, and they all very obviously didnt want to themselves, or customers to be there. The entire hotel had a weird smell, and the rooms looked like they were painted by someone who has never held a paint brush. Small bathrooms with a few minor plumbing issues. They show very few photos of the bathrooms for a good reason, very poor workmanship. We had 2 pillows with stains on them and the safe in the room didnt work. Literally nothing about this hotel met expectations and the staff was extremely rude.

The air conditioning, TV, and in-room phone did not work. The rooms were not cleaned well. There was a bad smell in the elevators.

While the two bed suite was spacious and well-appointed, it wasn’t quite as clean and I would expect. There were hairs that were not ours on the floor and towels. The air conditioning was not working and the room was quite warm and humid which made relaxing and sleeping uncomfortable. The hotel staff were fantastic. When I inquired about the AC, they said it was being worked on but offered to bring us a fan. The fan was helpful. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Busch Stadium was less than 10 minutes away too, which was perfect.

Overall our stay was amazing! The only thing that was a little inconvenient is that the house keeper took our bar of hand soap our first night and never replaced it so we had to get our soap from the bathtub every time we had to wash our hands. They also didn’t replace some of the towels after they took them and the led light mirror was missing the cord. Front desk staff was super nice and friendly though! The bedroom we were giving was also very nice. We’d stay here again :)

Nice hotel within walking distance of notable sightseeing venues like the Arch and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium. The staff was wonderful and there is even a pool table and shuffle board in the lobby area to enjoy with friends.

The phone didn’t work, could not order room service. Waited at the front desk 30 mins to check out bc no one was there at or around the counter. When the girl finally came rushing in from outside she was rude. I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

Overall the stay was terrific! Javier at the door is delightful, kind, and will assist in any way he can, he deserves a raise. Xavier at the front desk is extremely helpful. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the staff at Robie’s restaurant too, they went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed and due to a conference they were BUSY! Their food is terrific, highly recommend. My only very small recommendation is that the grout in the bathroom could be a bit cleaner. But overall very clean and spacious hotel. It is historic and I hope the Marriott continues to invest in it.

Worse hotel experience I’ve ever had dogs all over the hotel, barking all night long people openly doing drugs in the hallways. Hands-down worst experience ever.
