Location was the best. All the staffs were very kind. But I was in the tower room and had a door between rooms. I could quite hear everything to my next room. Except that I was very satisfied.

Couldn’t get the thermostat over 70’ very cold in the room, couldn’t get waited on in the restaurant at $22,95 for breakfast. $7:00 for a cup of coffee. Next time I’ll be staying cheaper and better service at the Hampton Inn just a block away.

We have stayed at this location four times now during the Gateway Dirt Nationals. We have never had any issues. Unfortunately, this weekend was different. We had to go searching for towels and wash cloths each day and our toilet paper ran out on day two and it was almost impossible to get a new roll. I’m not sure if the housekeeping staff is understaffed or what the deal is. We also had issues with the hot water or lack there of. Our water was Luke warm at best.

I’m sure every weekend is crazy in St.Louis downtown, this was our first time there in this area, at this hotel. I’ll skip most the traffic/hotel parking issue but we waited in line to turn into the hotel for 45 minutes, I jumped out when we made the turn to pull into hotel to go check In, my husband grabbed everything from car and we just paid for valet parking, it was just as crazy inside which was fine, my husband had our one bag, a bag of bottled sodas and my salad that was in a to go box from earlier. He found a seat near the check in line. When I say there were so many people waiting , I’m under exaggerating lol! This lady walks over as I’m walking around the corner to help him with our stuff so we can head up to our room and proceeds to tell us we can’t have opened food in her restaurant area, I was like you can see we are heading to our room. I get germs, but we weren’t eating , he was simply waiting for me to check in and there wasn’t really a distinguisher from lobby/bar area to “restaurant”.. she just came across super rude…

I called the front desk several times over a two hour period on my way to ask about parking and no one ever answered the phone. My reservation said it came with parking and when I checked in they said the parking was full. The woman at the desk told me they would reimburse me for the parking I paid somewhere else. The next morning I took my parking receipt to the front desk when I checked out and they told me they did reimburse for parking in my situation. They asked what employee told me that and when I didn't know her name they asked me to describe her. I tried to describe her but said what time I talked to her and suggested they would have the schedule of who was working. They did figure out who was working and then told me they couldn't give out that information. I reminded them that I didn't need that information, they did and they had asked for it. Then they just told me they wouldn't reimburse me for the parking and I would have to take it up with Hotels.com

It was evident that there were not enough service personnel scheduled for this weekend. When you stand at the bar for 30 minutes and the bartender won’t wait on you, there’s a problem.

Ups and downs... Good location but not the best.
Great location... Staff was great. Lobby/bar is really nice. Unfortunately the room itself was pretty dirty and not worth what we paid for the "Executive King Suite". Venting was empty so we essentially starved after we got back from the concert we attended in town (no food from the bar/restaurant after midnight). Also we had to evacuate the hotel due to a false alarm from the emergency fire system. And that system did NOT let about half the hotel know there was supposedly a fire. Most of the fire alarm stuff just didn't go off, even though there was clearly some kind of issue. Lucky it was a false alarm i guess! They also charged me $25 for "Wi-Fi" out of my incidentals deposit without ever telling me... And i didn't use the Wi-Fi at all, nor knew we even had it.

The inner city had been decimated by the blm protests. Almost no dining options at all. Limited nightlife opportunities. I would not return to St Louis again.

Nice place.
Stay was fine, check-in was very fast and employees were all very nice. The location was perfect for a concert at the Dome, only about a 5 minute walk. Only thing, in the shower the curtain had mold all over the bottom which was gross. The other major annoyance was that at 2am some alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the building. After about 15 minutes we were key back on but no one ever said what happened or apologized for the inconvenience.

It would have been nice if the hotel website would tell people that there is not a guarantee you will get parking. We had to park at the stadium and walk to the hotel. There are fees for everything including internet. Although it was clean I will not pay that price to stay again.

Rooms have double beds and not queens. Fire alarm went off at 2am and we had to evacuate the building. Not one staff member or responder came and talked to everyone standing outside letting us know what was happening. After a night of no sleep we decided to eat the breakfast buffet, it was awful. It was worse than a free continental breakfast and paid $23 per person. Service was extremely slow, food was cold and stale, coffee tasted burnt, and OJ was water down and warm. Very disappointed with this hotel.

A fifteen minute Uber trip from airport took almost an hour due to Metallica concert, so we expected and planned on a speedy check-in process. When we walked into the lobby, the line to check in was 40 people deep. After 10 minutes of not moving, we were told the computer systems were down. Twenty minutes later the computer system came back up and even though the line was so long, the employees had no sense of urgency, as two worked to check people in, and three walked around talking. After the concert, about midnight or so, there was nothing open in the hotel for even a snack. I understand the concert had close to 60,000 people in attendance, but the hotel is next to the Dome and should plan better for big events.

Less Than Thrilled
From the moment we arrived, I was dismayed. There was a line of cars trying to unload guests. We were told to proceed to the nearby garage for self-parking. It was quite cold, and we had to walk back to the hotel. There was a side door to the hotel, but we couldn't use it because we had to check in at the front desk to get a key, even though we had checked in online ahead of time. The phone as key feature wasn't activated until an hour after we checked in. Our room was spacious but laid out weird. The bathroom was huge, but had tiny furniture and a tub. Who still has tubs in a modern hotel? The room was supposed to have a king bed, but the mattress was 14" less wide than a standard king bed. It also rolled occupants to the middle of the mattress. The largest complaint was that, despite paying a huge amount for the room, there was no complimentary breakfast! I will definitely look for other options before staying here again!
